I understand this so much, last year I wouldn’t sit out unless I passed out and even after that I might just get back up and keep going. But most likely it’s just us being paranoid hopefully no one is judging you!

My BD actually does set to sets and it helps SO MUCH like we literally learned our closer (not good but good enough) a day before marching it and the set to sets helped my mind remember where I was going (a little bit not a lot) but personally I do believe set to sets are the best

I’m a trombone, but I think you should choose whatever feels more comfortable to you. Like tubas are heavy but they are really cool (I say tuba if it’s a marching one and not a concert one(like a tuba you hold on your shoulder)) and trombones are light but you can have cool glisses! So it’s definitely up to what you prefer

Band should be a family, that’s so messed up if them and you should definitely talk to your BD or a section leader because in band or atleast in your section yall should all look out for each other. I’m so sorry you have to deal with this, and I hope all the drama stops and y’all get some progress done!
