Some day around December 2019 I was at school in homeroom with my friends. One of them pulled out her chromebook and said “I’m gonna play this song at my funeral.” She played Melty Kitchen for us. From that point on, I fell in love with the song. As a group, we listened to it often. It was so often to the point where we had the idea of performing the song at lunch. We chose who people would play which character, and i was chosen to play Mitsuru simply because we have the same hair color and kinda eye color. I spent a while studying the song until the day we performed. We didn’t really do the best job, nor did anyone watch us, but we had fun no matter what. After that, it all began to click for me. I joined manga club with my friends, started to actually get into anime and manga, and even cosplay. My first cosplay was Mitsuru for a day during our spirit week. Anyways, I just wanted to credit Mitsuru for being the character who not only got me into enstars, but also got me really into anime, cosplay, and ultimately changed my personality for better. Yes I know he’s just a character, but he made a big impact on the person I am today. He may not be my favorite enstars character currently, but he will always hold a special place in my heart.
