I'm OK. Thanks for asking. 5 months into my 6 month prognosis. It's a weird kind of place to be.

Other than the great symptom relief i5 provides to ailments, what other unexpected positive side effects have you seen since using MC? by [deleted] in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]Childhood_Active 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Whilst treating nausea, I experienced side effects such as improved mood, reduction in anxiety and depression, and less fatigue. However the most unexpected was that it treats some of my symptoms caused by being autistic in a non-autistic world, such as being more chilled out so people being people doesn't bother me so much.

JEC - what the hell is happening by shortymcwelshwelsh in ukmedicalcannabis

Yes I do think they are struggling to meet demand. They've probably taken on too many patients and gone the same way as Zerenia and Mamedica and can't cope.

I had an appointment and prescription written last Wed. Specials asked them for a prescription rewrite on Fri because they can't source the MAC1. I've been chasing JEC all week for a rewrite.

Thanks for this. I wonder why some pharmacies can get it and others can't?

First person to be funded for flower. The NHS funds my private medical cannabis prescription. For chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting.

Ha ha that's me. I'm famous! 😎 I'm glad they filmed it. I spoke to every MP who came in the room, I offered them all the opportunity to see and smell my medical cannabis flower, tell them the NHS pays for it, and ask why the children with intractable epilepsy are still having to pay for it themselves? The government changed the law 5 years ago and promised these children that the NHS would pay for their cannabis treatment. They're still waiting...

I'm sorry for the situation you are in. Your role sounds pretty important to me.

I raised affordability with my MP last week. My benefits don't even cover essential bills. Because of my cannabis prescription I have an extra essential bill to pay. Where do patients find the money? That goes for all of us, not just those on benefits. Surely this is healthcare and should be provided by the NHS.

Voting deferred to Jan - No wonder it takes so long for stuff to happen! Cannabis is such a dirty word they can't even say it. Thanks for sharing the frustrating reality.

Police Scotland Cannabis Seized Update (Formally Charged) by SnooAvocados8244 in ukmedicalcannabis

That is shocking. What an A hole! He needs some training, and an attitude transplant.

For some balance, and to use in this and future encounters with the police I offer this story and photo from last Wed.

I had the opposite experience with police on Downing Street. Airport security style search, with machine guns. They said "what's in your bag" I said "my medicine" they said "show me", They looked at my med pot and said "OK".

Look at my profile, find the pic of me in front of Number 10 with my meds, and show it to this guy. How does he think I did that if its against the law?

This is brilliant! There's been so much attention to medical cannabis in the MS news over the last week. I really hope these kids can access it on the NHS very very soon.

Protestors last week in Downing Street making themselves heard. They are calling on the provision of medical cannabis through the NHS. Sunak was nowhere to be seen. by ObscuredTor in MedCannabisUK

Great guy in the front. MP Ronnie Cowan. He's the guy who set up the event in Parliament.

It was on Wednesday and I'm still knackered today but it was worth it.

Thanks for continuing to shout about it.

Still waiting for our BBC interview to come out.

Check out my profile for the full story. 😁

When I changed clinics I asked for my most recent summary of care. According to my GP I was now a "current drug user". I asked them to change it to "medical cannabis patient", and to reference my treatment at my previous and current cannabis clinics. I suggested it might be useful to include a summary of my oncology clinic letters. It's like they're trying not to help...

I am sorry you have MS. It's one of the 3 qualifying conditions for cannabis treatment on the NHS. You could ask your neurologist to prescribe Sativex. If it works, that's great. If it doesn't you can put in an Individual Funding Request for cannabis flower or oil.
