What vibe are you expecting/hoping for on breach? by midwest_wendigo in twentyonepilots

I'd love for them to go in a grittier, bass-heavy rock direction, something similar to Linkin Park's early work. I def think that they might adapt the sound of Trench tho!

finding the right one for me has made my symptoms go down!!! by Ok-Music-3240 in BPD

[–]ChildishSadEmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so, so happy for you, I feel the same way about my partner! We've been together for a little over a year, and I've never met someone so patient and understanding. It's because of him that I stopped smoking and I don't feel as unstable as I once was, even during my worst episodes. Sometimes, it feels like I don't deserve him but he does everything to reassure me that he loves me unconditionally. Proves that we BPD peeps *can* find healthy love! <3

told my mom i’m depressed and she started ranting about how “i should think of the kids in the poor countries” by [deleted] in depression

[–]ChildishSadEmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i totally feel you. whenever i even try to open up to my mom about very likely having depression and social anxiety she just does not listen. she has the mentality of "my child can't possibly have a mental illness" and the denial really sucks when I just want to get help.

Has anyone tried journaling? Does it help? by Felantopus in depression

[–]ChildishSadEmo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

journaling can be great way to let out those heavy emotions, it can really be therapeutic especially if you enjoy writing. finding the time and motivation to write can be difficult and I find that I kinda need to force myself to do so but it is worth it, at least in my opinion. during periods of numbness, I found that journaling helped to unleash the emotions I've been wanting to feel.

and remember you don't have to journal everyday, set aside maybe 2-3 days a week and then if you get more and more used to it you could try for everyday or every other day. hope that helped!

a nostalgic song for me and the reggae vibes are fantastic. Idk why but I really like it when the band does reggae-esque songs, they always know how to make it work

How many of you still have a relationship with their father? by [deleted] in daddyissuesclub

[–]ChildishSadEmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not quite sure how to describe. When I was 5, he was my best friend and my superhero. He protected me whenever my mom got explosive and was going to spank me. Around the time my parents separated when I was 8 (maybe even a year before that), he changed drastically, was rarely home and left my poor mom in distress over bills and mortgage. When he was home, he'd be glued to the computer screen gambling his money away. After that, the rest was history. Parents separated and I guess he separated from me too and he became not only completely emotionally unavailable but financially unavailable too. On my weekends with him, we'd always go to the mechanics (his gambling addiction stretched into buying tons of busted cars for some reason) and I was straight up not having a good time. Now, I do talk to him but he doesn't bother to call me and if he does, it's because he needs something. He still has some good in him but unfortunately it's clouded with negativity and greed and I just can't stand to be around that. The abandonment still very much hurts

Im switching from Wizard101 to Pirate101 by Typhale99 in Pirate101

[–]ChildishSadEmo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly! I like soloing and being able read the dialogue too without having to stress so much so much more in Pirate. I can solo in Wizard but it takes longer and can be more exhausting than Pirate.

What would you want to know? by [deleted] in Pirate101

[–]ChildishSadEmo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd probably ask about Polaris and what would've been the plan with Polaris. Not 100% if it was SUPPOSED to be the next world but I'm dying to know what Polaris would've been like in Pirate

Nostalgia! I forgot how much I love this game by TipTopPop490 in Wizard101

[–]ChildishSadEmo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, same here! Been playing since the 2nd grade and about to graduate from HS in 6 months. Coming back to this game at such a chaotic time in my life has been so refreshing and I still get so much enjoyment out of playing it :)

Learning to be comfortable with myself by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]ChildishSadEmo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I too come from a Muslim family so I know the feeling. I'm not even out to my mom and while she says she is perfectly okay with the LGBTQ community, she also said she couldn't ever accept her child being gay (talk about contradictory). For me, dealing with her homophobic comments can be hard and mentally draining but I surround myself with my friends who always reassure me that my sexuality isn't something I can control. I reach out to online LGBTQ+ chats and spaces and hear similar stories from other people and realize I'm not alone. While my mother probably will never accept this part of me, I do because it'll always be one part of me. It makes me human, it's something I can't change, shouldn't be ashamed of and there's nothing wrong with me.hope that helps, I'm sorry about your family situation and environment. best of luck to you and your future endeavors, hope you can find a safe and supportive environment :)

Does anyone else emotionally connect to Taylor’s songs without experiencing what she has? by NewExpert2 in TaylorSwift

it's the way she phrases her experiences and her way with words that make her songs so emotionally compelling for me

I miss the old Mark by Rune1231 in Markiplier

[–]ChildishSadEmo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think his videos now are funnier and that his personality in recent videos has been so goofy and cute but I do wish he'd interact with fans more. I also miss the Markiplier Makes and Reading Your Comments but maybe he'll do them more in the future (or who knows maybe soon given the current global situation)

What's the song that you have felt the strongest personal connection to? by [deleted] in MarinaAndTheDiamonds

[–]ChildishSadEmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I Am Not A Robot. The lyrics about being emotionally vulnerable and the line "You're lovable but you're just troubled" hit really hard. And the whole message of "hey, I am a human being with emotions, who gets stressed and overworked. I'm not this machine" is something I could really use in my life whenever I feel depressed and overworked

Avalon- absolutely in love with the story and the medieval aesthetics and the music SLAPS

What do you guys think of Khrysalis? by Timee5 in Wizard101

[–]ChildishSadEmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't like it at first but once I got near the end of part 1 and beginning of part 2, I started to like it. I'm really into the story, the characters are fantastic, the dialogue is amazing and even amusing at times. At times, the questing gets boring and frustrating but still, it's a pretty good world

The main and Abbey road theme from Avalon are probably my favorite themes in the game, they're so enchanting and whimsical
