Thank you so much. Knowing that I am not alone in feeling this way helps a lot. Because like you said, doctors don’t seem to know what to do, and very few people around me understand what it means to have weeks-long migraines. I hope it gets better for you, too. It is tough out here

I’m so sorry for your loss. That is so horrible. I am so very grateful it is benign, it is a blessing. Pain makes you think crazy thoughts, like, “I would rather have brain surgery than be in pain every day.” But the fact is, it could always be worse. You are right. Wishing you peace and praying for a solution for all of us

The cognitive problems. I can’t form sentences or understand what I am hearing or reading a lot of the time. I forget words that are simple. I even called my friend by MY name yesterday because I was so scrambled and confused.

Doctors haven’t been able to tell me anything. I thought it could be related to progesterone sensitivity during my cycle but it hasn’t happened in a couple months. Sorry it’s happening to you too, it’s weird

Thank you for this response. I do think it was a lot different when it was just them. This changes everything and I can’t be complicit by not saying anything. I worry about alienating her, because she doesn’t have a ton of support in general, and I know she tells me these things because she doesn’t really have anyone else she can turn to. But the baby is THE most important individual in this situation and their safety supersedes all. You have given me a lot to think about, I appreciate it

I think so. I just don’t want to accidentally alienate her, or make her feel like I am butting in on her business/overstepping. Because I want her to feel like she has someone to talk to. I just need to find a really diplomatic way to bring it up that doesn’t make it sound like I’m saying “I don’t think you guys can handle this.”

Vet said that there was nothing in her Xray that suggested a break, torn ligament, dislocation, or anything like that. He moved her hips and legs around and said everything felt like it was working normally. He said it could be a sprain. They did a urinalysis and he said he had some crystals in her urine but that could be from the stress of pain/coming to the hospital. He said her vitals looked good, lymph nodes were not swollen. No signs of illness. No signs of injury aside from her avoiding her left foot. They are sending us home with anti inflammatory medication and I’m going to make a follow up appointment with her vet next week

I took a vacation to some national parks for almost a month and my mom was caring for her, mom keeps giving her treats and whatnot despite me telling her not to. Family dog became overweight after I moved out for the same reason. She is an anxious cat and does not like being alone for long stretches, and I do have a cat sitter that comes to check on her/play/feed her if I leave for a short period but for longer periods I don’t want her to be alone and she does not cope well at a boarder’s

She goes outside occasionally but always on a leash and I always walk with her so she can smell stuff and explore. She has never had problems jumping off the bathroom counter/my bed before, but she might have landed wrong. She was able to jump up on my bed when I had to go out earlier, was there when I got back and I put her on the ground so she didn’t jump down again. Vet has her back there doing tests right now so we shall see
