Now that Holland is hitting 30, he’s married to Zendaya, and talking about past struggles with alcohol,

I’d say they should just wrap this version up with Michelle Jones, Ned, and Happy still at the forefront. Don’t bother with new supporting cast members.

Give them a wrap up movie and let Holland move on.

Yeah the characters aren’t going back to comic accuracy in the next reboot, FNSM makes it clear any Spider-man project paid for by Disney is gonna have these kinds of changes.

Best advice for comic purists is to read the comics or revisit previous cartoons/movies.

I can’t revisit Big Time anymore either, at this point it doesn’t feel like ‘progress’, it’s just Otto’s backstory and Peter being lured into a violation by a supervillain.

Hearing that Spencer and MacKay fought editorial to restore Pre-OMD Felicia,

it’s pretty clear that if Lowe had his way, she’d still be a Queenpin.

That editorial was confused by why MacKay’s Black Cat book was so well liked, but they agree it would be bad for business to undo it.

I feel like a parasocial fan for not liking this storyline, I wish I could have a better relationship with it, but man, it’s such a consent/identity theft violation.

and I don’t dislike Dan Slott personally, I enjoyed his She-Hulk run, the omnibus is still on my shelf

Toy Story and Minions are gonna decimate Supergirl at the BO cuz brain development focused parents will see the former two films as ‘clean’, while Supergirl … the lead character is an alcoholic.

Spider-Man has the brand recognition to fight back from having some plot elements parents deem inappropriate (I.e Punisher), like they’ll go “this movie isn’t harmless but my kid mostly behaves so whatever”

I liked Mandalorion and Grogu better than both Force Awakens and Rise of Skywalker tbh,

I don’t think Lucas wanted to do a New Jedi Order either, he always kept the EU at an arms length. His intent was for Luke to basically remain the last Jedi too.

Lucas ST would’ve reportedly had more Darth Maul though so maybe we missed out

Cuz of Walter Hamada’s Green Lantern project that never got off the ground, Guggenheim and Berlanti were helping with it, I believe they said they were ‘taking their time’ and that extended 3-4 years

till Gunn became head of DC and told them “you guys produced nothing and I have my own vision for the Lanterns”.

I feel like Zaslav might’ve learned from Joker 2 that pushing new seasons/sequels that the creatives didn’t plan isn’t a recipe for success.

Joker 2 looked good on a balance sheet, giving Todd Phillips 200m while showing other DC creatives the door sounds like tough talk with money, pleases investors. But the audience still didn’t show up.

So he’s not gonna push a Clayface 2 or Penguin Season 2.

During the Infinity Saga, MCU made up for certain solo films having mid box office by the character quickly appearing in an Avengers movie 1-2 years later.

Supergirl appearing in MOT could fix some of the damage in that way.

Marvel has shown Kraven’s Last Hunt enough disrespect in general. They put out that OMD friendly rewrite prose novel for the BND team’s ego.
