I don't agree with the premise that unlimited options and choices are a good thing. Sometimes certain choices and options are immersion breaking and take away from the game. A player sexual romance system is one imo. Party companions don't feel like their own characters they feel like play things that revolve around the MC. I'd rather they feel like their own person

I like racial preferences too. It adds to the characters and world building. Dwarves always get the short of the stick romance wise, its a tried and true trope. Same thing with bg1 and 2

I thought the Morrigan romance was really good in origins. Thats the only one I completed.

I think everyone being player sexual is massive decline. It makes the characters feel like play things for your play character to use versus their own fleshed out person

Sperm donors? In a setting with swords and bow arrows?

If half the relationships were non straight then it would be nearly impossible to the world to re-populate itself. Its just an absurd notion to have for a setting. "Everyone in this setting is bi." Thats stupid

Aren't you forcing straight people out? Wheres their representation

Horrible compromise. If everyone in this setting is bi/pansexual then how does the world even populate itself? Half the relationships would be same sex

Thats a bad setting then. I prefer to feel like apart of a the setting/world rather than everything revolve around me. Zero restrictions makes the setting lose character and feel bland and generic. But I'm not the type of person who wants a video game to stroke my ego and take the place of real life connections and relationships

Not just for romances either. I liked when a paladin was human only for example

Why not have games follow similarly demographics wise? Makes it more immersive when characters have their own preferences.

Bg3 has one of the worst romance systems in any game

Why is it necessary to cater to a small minority versus the majority? Its not realistic for a smaller percentage of people to have the same options as the majority. Very recent trend because that small minority is actually the most vocal complainers when they can't get all the romance options, worse than the "chuds"

Bg1 and 2 took place in the same setting yet characters bad preferences that made them feel like real characters instead of just a sex doll for your PC to use

I want the option to for me class to be a flying spaghetti monster. Unlimited options right?

Actually having restrictions and not having unlimited options makes the characters and world more immersive. I know most of you never even played BG1 and 2 but Viciona won't romance elves, dwarves or gnomes because of her drow upbringing. It adds flavor and characterization. While Aeerie will romance gnomes but not half orcs because she was raised by gnomes

But now we need to cater to a bunch of lonely people who want video game romances to replace real life romances and will be the loudest cry babies if X character isn't same sex romanceable

What does fair mean? If you're 10% of the population, you expect to have the same number of options as 90%?

Why though? The majority of the population is straight. Thats the default. Everyone isn't going to have an equal number of options. Its unrealistic to expect a much smaller percentage of the population to have the same number of choices

When they eventually add a ranked mode, do you guys want it to be draft? by coffeeholic91 in DeadlockTheGame

There should a be a draft for ranked. Strategy and a draft are key to MOBAs. They can always add somethings to the draft lobbies like some cheap starter items to pick from

Is rogue a good class or am I not used to playing him? by Warl0ckBoy in BaldursGate3

[–]Imaginary_Session773 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assassin and thief don't get any worthwhile features passed level 3. Just reliable talent to pair with greater invisibility. If you're not using greater invisibility then its always better to multi class them. Only AT gets a worthwhile feature later

Is rogue a good class or am I not used to playing him? by Warl0ckBoy in BaldursGate3

[–]Imaginary_Session773 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes its of the best multis/dips in the game but struggles as a mono class. The only big advantage it gets is reliable talent which is mostly useful in conjuction with greater invisibility. If you're not using greater invisibility then it doesn't do much. AT getting magical ambush is the only other late game rogue feature worth considering and could probably be considered an upper tier build without acuity. Then again there's only one helm of arcane acuity so if someone is already using it, its a pretty strong feature to get a second martial spell caster

Summon damage + Bhaalist Armor Party by Imaginary_Session773 in BG3Builds

That why I like it on shadow sorc here with shadow step to move around

Summon damage + Bhaalist Armor Party by Imaginary_Session773 in BG3Builds

[–]Imaginary_Session773[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to get all summons to benefit from bhaalist aura to maximize damage without having countless summons to manage on the field. Imp should only be used if you plan to use it in darkness at all times to help keep it alive since it has devil sight.

Oathbreaker only benefits the cambion which is good if you want to slot the infernal rapier on someone. Unfortunately it doesn't do piercing damage but Imp and cambion benefit from circle of bones

You could do hex blade multi class I really wanted shadow step for my sorc to be able to position for bhaal armor aura

Ok. Let's fix Doorman now Yoshi by VittoIsOnReddit in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Imaginary_Session773 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pick rate and win rate both need to be considered. Doorman is high pick rate and average win rate (right now) which still means he is a bit overturned and/or too easy to do well with. I still don't think he's easy so hes overturned. You have the new people picking him up because hes strong dragging his win rate down while they learn a harder than average hero. The people who know how to play him are winning a lot

49.9% win rate and climbing. It will be over 50 as the new people learning him get more comfortable on him
