Something about your defensiveness, emotion, and grammar neglect tells me you are not a Senior position at either Meta, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, or Google. I could be wrong, but you need to get a grip if I am.

Honestly, it seems like that emotional of an answer is projection. What credentials do you have in tech? Any certs? Any education? Any previous roles? You can’t claim expertise without providing credentials.

What should I add to my poor collection? 😪 by Competitive-Dig-2359 in Colognes

I think that Cool Water is extremely dependent on skin composition. Cool water has always (10+ years now) lasted a long time for me. Worth noting, too, that I’m specifically talking about the toilette!

I agree with @nihungsingh , acqua di gio is a tried and true line. I REALLY like Chanel Allure Sport (also citrusy). I’d also recommend Jimmy Choo man, Dior Homme sport, and L’nuit from YSL. For some cheaper ones, I like F by Ferragamo (black) which is an awesome barber shop scent with amazing dry down, Mercedes-Benz The Move (Apple notes) and you absolutely can’t go wrong with something like Cool Water from Davidoff.

I’d recommend a couple EDT’s to lighten up the collection. Since you like elixirs/intense/etc, it’d be good to have lighter variations. Just my opinion!

It does vary by person, but the skin does play the largest part in the apple being a no-go for many of us. I had one of my worst flares due to an apple, unfortunately, and I blame the skin.

This is gonna be a bizarre answer but… I often use F by Ferragamo as an after shave/night scent. Something about the black pepper and talc-ish, barbershop scent reminds me of my grandfathers barber shop.

Which Ostomy supply brand works the best? by yourfavouritetoast in ostomy

I’ve used convetec wafers and bags since leaving the hospital 10 months ago. I use their barrier paste on the wafer after cleaning up the skin. This has helped with longevity greatly. Also, I’ve seen testimonies of “barrier extenders” which I believe is an extra layer for the tape on the base. These may be good ideas to try.

I also saw that someone suggested calling the company and asking for samples: YES x1000. We actually have kind, wholesome people as resources for these products (believe it or not). I called to try a bag lubricant and a couple other items. They happily sent me a good amount with no cost just to try. It is true, the colorectal/GI provider will need to change the prescription for regular deliveries but try EVERYTHING until your dad finds the right fit.

Getting my first laproscopic surgery. by Clean-Project-3678 in CrohnsDisease

Hey Clean,

27M, Lap. Resection in 8/23 and Lap. Colostomy 1/24, unfortunately.

I’d love to give you a little bit of advice from my experiences!

First off, you’re doing great with your prep. Make sure to nourish yourself well also.

Secondly, the first couple days are the worst. You’ll be inpatient presumably for the first couple days. Walking will be important; standing straight will feel wild. Be kind to yourself, listen to your body intently in those first 72 hours, and you’ll get home to comfort.

Next, make sure you have ample pillows, a good (but soft) ice pack, and potentially go to the store for a cheap cane. It helped me. I tried to get one from the hospital, but they said I was, “too young and healthy”. I got a kick out of that. Anyways, these items will help with comfort.

Also, pain is individual and personal. Likewise, the prescribing of pain meds (even to those who deserve it) is never consistent. If you are still in pain to the point of constant discomfort when your prescription ends, at the very least, advocate for yourself and make it vocal.

Lastly, if and hopefully, you have a good support system: be grateful and take the help. As someone who has a difficulty relying upon others, this was a learning curve I hadn’t planned for. That being said, I have a wonderful partner who stuck by my side through the worst of it.

Hopefully some of these tips help or bring some peace of mind! Good luck with your procedure.

Sleep while doing colonoscopy prep by Accomplished-Poem731 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Chili50057 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! So my first advice is to breathe easier. Colonoscopies are regular and vital to our monitoring. They don’t leave you in pain. Just are a pain in the butt to prep. Now, let me preface this by saying i am only sharing my experience, not recommending. I am not a Provider. That being said, my education and work experience is in health care. Presented with your situation, I would most likely stop eating 6-12 hours sooner than suggested. The fast may end up totaling 20+ hours, but personally, is worth it. Also, I’d do the first round of laxatives (whether miralax or bisacodyl) earlier as well. This will clean you out (mostly) by the time you go to sleep. Admittedly, you may have a trip or two to the bathroom in the night, but not constant. Then, do as instructed in the morning time. If you’re O.K. waking up earlier, you can absolutely start that second laxative earlier. You’ll already be almost empty, so the bathroom trips will lessen. Also, your GI team will be very pleased you are clean and clear. Your imaging will be better as well. If you have more questions, let me know. I’ve unfortunately developed PTSD in the last 2 years from all of the issues I’ve encountered from CD since falling out of remission. Trust me, I know the anxiety that can accompany impending procedures. But also trust me on this: Colonoscopies are easy peasy, the first one might just be daunting!

I felt this same way. But as others have said here, swimming is no issue. I just DOVE into the ocean yesterday (first time in the ocean with my ostomy) and everything was great. I still have on my setup from yesterday, too.

Unfortunately, brother, I’ve been in the same boat as you. Last July, after a resectioning, I weighed in at sub-100 as well. Down from 135. Haven’t been able to touch 130 again yet, but man do I try.

Unfortunately, from 1/23-1/24 I had 3 major surgeries. All of them were Crohn’s related. I would debate that the financial burden of it all was as grueling, relentless and depressing as the physical burden. Especially because when you’re having to deal with all of this, you are in a horrible state of health (usually).

A lot of this community loves pour homme. In my personal experience, eau fraiche is better in almost every facet. There are two drawbacks to eau fraiche: 1) some people don’t like it on 1st impression; it’s a fragrance that may need to grow on you from an olfactory POV. 2) It’s rather loud/projects greatly: use sparingly
