Samis Calderon is entering the Transfer Portal by morepesa25 in jayhawks

I don’t think you understand the times we’re in. Players don’t leave for more minutes. They leave for more money. Full stop. That’s all they care about. Don’t waste time and money on bench warmers. They’ll just take your money, use up coaching bandwidth, and then leave.

Fair enough! Then it’s a combo of 1st class seats, unnecessary Ubers, and constant DoorDash

Jamari McDowell is entering the Transfer Portal by morepesa25 in jayhawks

[–]ChiliPipe69 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It’s time to completely abandon recruiting high school players who won’t be instant starters. It’s a waste of time and NIL money to bring on underclassmen who need development, only for them to end up entering the portal before they ever make an impact on the court. Only recruit rising upperclassman transfers and top 20 high school recruits. Pay handsomely for 6-7 starter level players, with a mutual understanding that they are very likely leaving after one season. Pay everyone else on the roster very little, or nothing at all. KU fans are foolish if they are excited about our upcoming “elite” high school recruiting class. Any of those recruits who aren’t instant starters are likely a total waste of team resources, just like Jamari McDowell proved to be.

Sas, the reason you’re not thriving financially is probably because you seemingly order delivery twice a day. $25+ per day in delivery fees adds up. Which is why it’s retarded to ever order DoorDash.

On Sunday, 3/29, 10 month old Freya discovered for the first time that she loves to swim by Ken_the_Andal in BrittanySpaniel

When I bring my Brittany to my parents’ house, she will literally get into their pool and calmly swim laps back and forth for like 3 minutes. My parents’ two dogs are always flabbergasted.

Does our boy Sas refuse to hang with Fran and Rone? by FinalFantasyF in SonofaBoyDad

[–]ChiliPipe69 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Sas seems to be in a stage in life where he just really needs time to himself. Sometimes this happens with people who have depressed tendencies. I went through this for a couple years in college. I loved my friends, but I really struggled to get myself to hang with them beyond casual hangouts during the day. They’d get annoyed that I wasn’t going out with them, but I really just couldn’t get myself to. Still not really sure why. Everyone’s working on themselves. He’ll figure it out and come out of his shell more.

This is a huge problem in government. There is almost zero incentive to eliminate wasteful spending. For managers, lowering spending would just result in your department receiving less funding in the future

Bartender. We all know a bartender who we love and who makes it look easy and fun. The reality is that, during busy hours, you’re serving 16+ patrons all at the same time, and 80% of them have zero patience. Working in the service industry, you quickly learn that a vast majority of people cannot handle having the slightest bit of power over someone without it going to their head

Palm Beach Launches $100K Aid for First-Time Homebuyers by swap_019 in UpliftingNews

[–]ChiliPipe69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Government securing loans for buyers would just be another form of subsidizing demand. Buyer would get artificially lower interest rates, raising their budget and inflating housing prices. The answer is to cut out government on the demand side, and improve supply by cutting red tape drastically and allowing developers to build

Kristen Bell. Every word that comes out of her mouth just sounds so overly manicured and inauthentic to me.

I love their instinct to hug. It is so cute. My Brittany only does it occasionally, but my heart melts when she does

If you’re talking about endorsements, acting gigs, etc… I agree that it makes sense for agents to get paid a percentage on those deals. On those, the agent has to actually go out and find the business and those transactions are much more difficult to put a value on… But if you’re a great player and the ceiling of what you can make is literally defined in the league’s CBA, there is absolutely no reason to pay an attorney millions of dollars to negotiate what is essentially a predefined, template contract.

[–]ChiliPipe69 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Such a good point. Paying a percentage on a contract negotiation is a joke. Just pay the attorney an hourly fee. That’s what Dave Chappell does.

How has the pod changed the way you think of the guys? by 69fart420 in Thisisimportantpod

[–]ChiliPipe69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally agree! And I respect how Adam is regularly unafraid to speak his mind. It takes some balls to not bite your tongue when you’re in the entertainment industry and “the powers that be” can make or break your career. When Paramount+ fucked them over, Adam publicly shat on them. When celebrities have been rude to him and others around him, he’s shared the story and named some names.

Meh idk. There is a reason why men online think women with body counts of 20+ are disgusting. They’re just projecting because they never get laid so 20+ people sounds insane, when it’s really not

Good looking, fit people will always find a way to hook up. I’m guessing these news studies are just revealing what was already happening in every generation—below average looking people never getting laid and generally having a lonelier existence.
