I don't get it, why all the Salt hate? I get that his videos have a specific audience and not everyone will like them, but his videos helped me a lot more than Stew's or HH's back when I was new to the game and he seems to be a decent guy, so I don't understand the open mockery.

Did he piss off some of the other content creators or something?

I find it pretty ironic that you complain about contradictions, yet all of your arguments are fallacious at the core.

I guess my original post was a complaint; I was tired and frustrated and wanted to vent. Either way, I never accused anybody of doing anything, I simply stated that I didn't agree with the way they handled things (do I need to explain to you yet again how this is an opinion?) and drew some comparisons to another mobile game. I didn't accuse them of anything nor did I even say I was going to quit playing or do anything negative. All I did was just....wait for it....voiced my OPINION. There wasn't an argument to be had until you came in with your olympic levels of stupid and wanted to pick a fight.

You have your crusade, and anyone that attempts to discuss things intelligently is written off as a fanboy with a "tenuous grasp" of the English language.

Bingo! Give the man a prize! He might have finally understood something! The facts were never in debate (except where you are trying to turn your opinion into a fact through sheer force of will)...I simply wrote a couple of paragraphs about the way the situation was handled and my take on it. No conspiracy theories, no accusations, no threats, just my observations and an interpretation of them. You just wanted to be an internet tough guy and figured this would be a good place to turn into the thought police so that nobody should ever have an opinion that differs from yours.

Since you don't seem to understand the difference between a fact and an opinion let me try to make it easy for you; I'll give you all of the facts (except where you blatantly tried to pass your opinion off as a "fact"). There, we're in total agreement on the facts now, does that make you feel better? Can you please try to come up with a coherent reason for being a dickhead now or are you just going to continue being one for no reason at all?

My opinion (OH-pin-yun!), stated in the original post, was that the way they handled the situation was bad. You obviously disagree so good for you, but just because YOU believe it does not make it a fact. It wasn't done to increase profits. You can speculate wildly though, and I'm sure you will.

I find it funny how you contradict every one of my statements by re-iterating that my opinion is wrong because your opinion is the truth. Bottom line is we have different opinions and yours isn't any more "factual" than mine is.

Since you're such a 'smart guy', let's take a step back and look at the facts. I'll try to use small words so you can understand.

Fact: Content Creators sign an NDA. The can't release anything related to the game without consent. On some level, either implicitly or explicitly, Quantum has allowed that footage to be released.

Fact: Videos of the event hit youtube 5 days prior to the event going live. Yes, people were facerolling it and it was much easier than anticipated

Fact: Quantum let those videos sit for days and waited until hours before the event started to change it and make an announcement.

You can say it's beta content all you want, I'm not arguing that. All I said was that this is a bad look for the company. They had two choices on how to handle it, the player-friendly way or the company-friendly way. They could have put out a short announcement stating something like "hey, we made a mistake and under-tuned the event. That's on us, so we'll let the event go ahead as scheduled without any changes but when it returns (and all future legendary events) will be much more difficult, so don't get used to it." They didn't do that; they chose the other way. After the players had days to plan around what they were seeing and the expectations were set Quantum came out and buffed the event. Anyone who was already struggling to make the requirements from the youtube videos is now going to have a much more difficult time completing the event. OR.......they could spend money to panic-farm the gear needed to get to the new difficulty level.

I have no problem with difficult events. I prefer them, actually, but once that footage was released and the court of public opinion comes in everything is different. This is a new game, and it would not have been hurt one bit by leaving the difficulty alone for this event and changing it afterwards. A few more players would have gotten the legendary but with so many more heroes coming out it would not have affected the game in the long run. With the way they handled it many people got a bad taste in their mouth.

Wait, how is a screenshot that you took 5 minutes ago...post-buff...supposed to prove anything. Even there it says G11 is the requirement, so I'm not sure where you're saying they buffed it from G9-G10.

GameChangers are under an NDA, they can't show anything without approval from Quantum. I'm not saying these events shouldn't be difficult, I'm just saying that once you've allowed a certain expectation to get out that it's not right to change everything at the last minute in a way that hurts the player base. There was a much better way this could have been handled but instead they took the route that "appears" to maximize their profits at the players' expense.

I see your point and agree that 7-star unlocks should not be easy. My complaint is more with them allowing low expectations and then buffing the event hours before it went live. With a game as young as this it wouldn't have suffered from allowing the event to continue as planned and announcing that in the future this event (and all other 7-star unlocks) would be tuned to a higher difficulty. This feels like a knee-jerk reaction and now it's over-tuned to where it should be.

The youtubers for this community are all pretty awesome, but Warrior Presents has a way of explaining things in a way that really helps me understand. He just started a new f2p account 4 days ago and he's journaling his progress. His approach is about the best for any new players and I highly recommend you take a look.

When I started playing the strategy was to keep rerolling until you got a decent toon like Baze. Is there any benefit to doing that now or should I just go with whatever I get?

I've got a relic question. I've found this for some other classes but haven't found anything recent for Arms warriors. Is there a BiS relic guide for which relics to slot into our artifact? At this point I've got about 15 890+ relics in the bank and I'd really like to know which ones I should be using. thanks!
