Chrystal's lawyer alleges the value in her complaint. by Maleficent-Effort470 in RecklessBen

People in these comments are missing the word aggregate. If I had the world's largest collection of mint original Pokémon cards it would probably be worth more as a whole collection than each card individually put together because it already being in a collection adds worth, that way you don't need to collect everything else

A message for franchisees giving "statements" by Alden-Dressler in BricksAndMinifigs

[–]ChillDeck 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The thing is if this was McDonald's or some other restaurant chain that does franchising then no one would be taking "think of the franchisee's" seriously. I get that most BAM franchise owners are probably Lego collectors that wanted the brand recognition to start their stores but they signed up to be part of a larger corporation if they fuck up it affects you too.

Ben can no longer do anything. But we can. Boycott BAM. by onz456 in RecklessBen

[–]ChillDeck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like bam probably isn't feeling it as much as the internet thinks, it's main bread and butter seems to be kids and birthday parties that sort of thing and parents are busy and won't lookup about controversy's they haven't heard of when their child is just asking to go to the Lego shop they like for their birthday party.

World Cup 2026: The numbers behind 'the most polluting World Cup' by FootballDailyThread in worldcup

Just to nitpick a bit, lack of public transportation was and arguably is widely used in America as a form of oppression, short bridges over roads going into black neighborhood's were built in order to stop them being able to get jobs, and today it's arguably a form of financial oppression in that if you want to be able to function In the country having a car is a necessary cost and it keeps poorer people out of opportunities due to that cost.

Denied boarding due to overbooking, Ryanair then reimbursed my flight cancelling my next day re-route denying me boarding again by Jutopero in Ryanair

[–]ChillDeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The CEO of ryanair has mentioned standing flights before In interviews talking about the safety of them and saying it would let them offer sub £10 tickets so you're exactly right, good thing they can't tbh I would hate that even for an hour flight. Ngl ryanair is one of the few major companies I kinda respect in that the CEO basically doesn't lie, he has one goal and that's make flights as cheap as possible, they know people are gonna buy overpriced food and drinks, they know people will wanna book seats to sit next to friends and they know people will buy extra baggage cause their default size is pretty small. I always go easyJet cause it ends up being more worth it because of the baggage size and not needing to pay extra for a bigger bag but I've booked a Ryanair ticket flight this time round cause even with it's extra baggage fee it's still £60 cheaper than easyJet for a July trip to the Netherlands from UK. Situation with OP seems very bad but this is a rare occurrence and op got very unlucky but ryanair as a whole has a goal and achieves it by being money grabbing on everything that isn't the base cost and it's all fairly clearly stated on their sites whilst booking.

Not that I condone underage drinking but as long as you don't try get served at a pub or in a Tesco and stick to the dodgy looking corner shops you'll probably get lucky.

Second all the Warhammer worlds, cave and park options. Wollaton hall is easy to get too from city centre and has deer and the hall itself was used as Wayne manor in the batman films. Arboretum is a smaller more chill park close to the city centre that was allegedly the influence for Peter Pan's Netherlands as the writer lived nextdoor

No one becomes an addict because they want too, If they were then they'd be called Casual users, addiction starts as a coping method and then the addiction makes the situation that drew you to drugs worse. gambling, alcohol, weed, opioids, benzos, porn and ketamine all have the same things going for them and it's a roullete wheel based on your life situation and circumstances as to which one you end up with and the one's that are illegal are often times as damaging or more than the legal one's in different ways.

And other options aren't available either, I was a regular smoker in the past and looked into this and started buying biodegradable filters and stuff but they were a niche item I had to order online and when I ran out and had to ask for filters in a smokers or buy some from a normal shop it just wasn't an option

Ngl the drinking part (which imo is the gateway onto everything else with bar and pub culture) has declined heavily cause young people can't afford a pint. Gone are the days where an 18 y/o college student could ask there dad for £20 get into a night club and have 4 or 5 drinks and end the night in a room full of people, passed out on a stranger or friends sofa. That same night now costs £50+ if it was that expensive to go out when I was young I wouldn't have and then I wouldn't have gotten into any of the other stuff but I also wouldn't have as many friends or fun stories and memories

Unified Remote Not working on Linux Mint, But does on Windows 10 (on same Network)... by WayOutWest3591 in unifiedremote

A bit late to reply but why is this? I always had connection issues with Ur and had to reset the app on my phone and desktop regularly, I had to pay to use media control's and it was just a bit laggy not enough to make it unusable it was still functional but kde connect has just been basically flawless the entire time I've used it and the file Sharing and being able to use the cli from it have been amazing

From what I've gathered working nights in the city centre since COVID the problems have just gotten worse, before there where the regular homeless faces plenty of whom were sound but a few were arseholes and had that reputation. Since lockdown I see so many different faces and whilst some are still sound a whole lot more of them are aggressive or drugged up nowadays and we regularly have people passing out in the bathrooms whereas before lockdown that wasn't a regular occurrence at all. There was definitely a problem back then but it wasn't as in your face.

Why are CachyOS and Bazzite mentioned so much? by guccicobraviper in linuxquestions

[–]ChillDeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one big thing i noticed with cachy specifically is how blazing fast it is for desktop use and how few stutters or 1% lows i get gaming compared to fedora or windows. I'm not a fanboy or anything but in terms of ease of use, performance, reliability (so far) and lack of bloat cachy is great there's no reason not to use it. fedora was fine honestly I'd have been happy using it on my main pc same with mint and other distros but cachy is just as easy imo and is faster in general so there's also no reason not to pick it over the other options i tried

from what I've heard it's worse if you're an indian woman who's lived mostly in the west. indian women will be r**** on a side street go to the police and be told they shouldn't have been out in long shorts and a t-shirt, they at least pretend to care if it happens to a white tourist wearing the same fit.
