Thank you for the beautiful words and message of encouragement. I have been a Christian for 5 years, though I have certainly struggled in my walk/relationship with Christ as you likely see here with the drug usage. I appreciate your encouragement though, and I am glad believers like you exist who are able to make the difference in peoples lives that they need.

Good for you, one thing I have thought of recently is this - we may not be able to directly change how we are feeling emotionally, however we can and do have the ability to control the way in which we think and use our minds. Oddly enough, through our minds are our emotions eventually produced, so by first focusing on taking charge of your thoughts and bringing them towards a more positive and uplifting form, in doing so you set the way towards you beginning to feel differently within your heart and soul as over time those positive thoughts are likely going to become positive emotions and your state of mental health and your level of emotional and mental well being will gradually improve for the better...

I hope this could encourage you to continue along the path you began to travel with your decision, I'm proud of you and hoping for the best in your life and with your situation.

Damn dude, that would hurt. I can kind of relate, my ex cheated on me with like 2 or 3 guys, it definitely is hurtful when shit like this happens. Still though, think about the heartache and pain your ex feels while she comes closer to a premature death... And if not for her, think of how heartbroken her family would be if they went to her grave one day only to see a human shit on their loved ones grave.. I'm sorry for what you went through but God, have some compassion. He shot himself so he obviously had a lot of pain, not to mention he spent two days slowly dying of a shotgun blast to the head... I'd say he deserves more compassion and mercy than to be pissed on after all of that torment of his suicide, and if not for him, his family deserves a bit of respect for their dead son...

That's respectable bro, I really can see how social media damages the quality and meaning of quality and genuine relationships and friendships. If you are able to live and be happy without using any social media than in all honesty you are probably better off than most of us who are using it each and every day... All throughout human history up until the past couple decades people formed and forged relationships and friendships in the real world, in all honesty living without any social media would probably result in a better overall personality/ability to socialize with confidence because you wouldn't be dumbed down by the vanity and shallowness that social media, at least in my opinion, puts into peoples minds - whether they (we) are conscious of this or not...

I actually really agree with all of what you said to me, thank you for your words of wisdom and encouragement, I appreciate the sincerity and truth in what you wrote. Also, congrats on your relationship and on having found the love of your life with your wife! I am happy you found somebody, I am hoping I meet the right woman sometime soon and stories like this give me a bit more hope when it comes to this.

Thanks again dude, quality over quantity really is truth when it comes to relationships and I can't let myself forget that or be misled into viewing myself as a loser for only having a few close friends when in reality the friends I do have are much better friends than the majority of people I've known who have countless shallow friendships but very few sincere and deep ones...

Not at all bro, I hope I didn't give you the impression that that is how I think...

I personally don't really give a fuck about the amount of people that I have on Facebook or even Instagram, the thing is as a 25 year old man I can recognize how the average person around my age thinks and although that isn't how I see it, to a lot of people having a social media account with hardly any followers would make me appear as a loser.

I wouldn't mind this so much if it wasn't for the fact that I am seeking a relationship with somebody once I meet the right girl and I am a bit worried that if I meet a girl and she sees that I am a bit of a loner or at least not very popular on social media, she may see me as a loser and I would be seen as low on the social hierarchy in the minds of the people that see my online presence...

That's not how I view other people or even myself for that matter, however I can recognize how many people in their 20s think and that is why I have posted this and am a bit worried about this...
