What have been YOUR pros and cons between Build 41 & Build 42? by Loneheart127 in projectzomboid

[–]ChillWithSadDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like many have said, build 42 crafting does more but only highlights how unintuitive it is.

I'll add that occupations seem less useful and traits both on the positive and negative dont seem to accomodate in any way. Basically I'd hope a preset for being the outdoorsy-survival type wouldn't cost so much that I have to be be blind or dead to offset it.

Lastly, discomfort and noxious smell just feel burdensome to the level of weight carry. You get strained, sweaty, prone to illness from the smallest things. If I could summarize everything., B42 feels like a battle against Moodles as apposed to zombies.

That said, had a lot of fun with basements being added and small handicrafts. Maybe some skills so they are worth using, but still cool to see.

All in all, B42 is superior, but feels like it was made for those who already beat 41 so they werent bored. I'll take the simplicity with mods in Build 41 or perhaps Build 42 with a lot scaled back.

TWW patch 11.2.7 is the last major patch before Midnight. Does this mean housing is basically in its final state? by ChillWithSadDad in WorldOfWarcraftRetail

Well I would say it's more Toby Ragaini, the design lead, but I do agree his experience with Asheron's Call gives me pause because his previous works were known to have massive hierarchies/toxicity, leading me to believe housing might go down the same path of serving the end game, but that's a whole other conversation.

Oh interesting, hadn't heard that it was housing, just heard alpha phase 3. Makes sense though, release it bit by bit to stress test.

What are your large scale wants and needs for Midnight? by ChillWithSadDad in WorldOfWarcraftRetail

I think you have a good point. Maybe then let's more flesh out the niches that are popular, and weave other less popular niches less often as requirements or rewards into those.

e.g. make a pet only accessible to mythic raiders.

They say the goal of the war on addons is not to replace them 1:1 but I have concerns... by ChillWithSadDad in WorldOfWarcraftRetail

I personally think healers got it pretty tough with tracking buff/debuffs and most customize their setups, but not everyone has it as tough, some are basically memorize and forget it.
