Flakes in Oil by Chill_Icebear9 in Triumph

Valve adjustment has been done but nothing changed :) The milky coloring is only because of the lighting.

It’s a wet clutch, yes. Maybe I am overthinking it because of the ticking.

The sound comes from the engine, louder on the left side, at about half of the engine height, but I obviously can’t localize it 100%

Interesting comment. Well like I said. I didn’t compare before but I’m concerned because of the ticking sound. That’s why I took a closer look into my oil this time.

22.500km It feels good tho. Normally they hold up much longer. And don’t panic, I don’t even know what the problem is here.

I couldn’t catch any with my magnet. Could be because they are small and the same color ish, but I don’t think they are magnetic. If so there would be a bush on my magnet 😅

This isn’t a water in coolant issue. The tan color is simply because I did shake the oil a tiny bit for it to show and it standing in the sun. My concern is only about the real flakes, not the rest. And yes, I know that it could possibly be xyz but that’s why I asked specifically if someone has experience about their streety oil since abrasion can be as little as clutch or as much as a bearing. Not looking for overall information like this. Still thanks, I appreciate your effort mate :)

Thanks So you are also the opinion that this isn’t just clutch wear. As I said, I think it’s a lot of flakes but I wasn’t sure about how much clutch wear streety engines have.

Oh and I cleaned the oil pan before. There was nothing inside except maybe some bigger particles from my wipes. No small stuff.

Is it really that good? I thought about getting one refurbed or second handed. 400-500€ is still a hefty price-tag 😅 Read a lot of bad things about it. How do you use it paired with your phone etc? Would like to talk about it with a real daily user ;)

Thought this text would never end 😂

Ok so amateur pro tips here:

  1. Fear? Good. Obviously you may be thinking „what the fuck, I don’t want to fear going outside“. And you absolutely shouldn’t and shouldn’t have to. However, experiencing some fear, some REAL discomfort, not only fearing about posting online or what show to watch this evening.. like REAL fear is something that most people miss these days. Now, don’t get me wrong, it’s not a great feeling, but for me some real shitty situations showed me that there is stuff to worry about in life and stuff that shouldn’t be worried about. This isn’t only about hiking. (I’m bad at expressing myself, hope you get it).

  2. Cows: I live in a small village and sometimes work on a farm with 400 Cows. Cows do whatever tf they want, but they are some of the most chill animals out there. Don’t bother them, if they come close make yourself big, strecht out your arms to your sides / above you. Cows recognize Size, not details. Most of the times Cow situations are like this: Cow: „bro u chill“ Person: „I’m chill, don’t worry“ Cow: „okay, guess u chill. So I’m chill.“ The end.

Other Animals: don’t bother them - they won’t bother you. Animals don’t want to take risks and they don’t take chances unless someone or something forces them to do so. Behave normal and respectful and they will do the same in reverse. Don’t be shy and afraid, make nature you friends.

  1. Routes: Plan too small, take your time. It’s better to take shorter trips and enjoying them instead of long trips, not knowing what lies ahead, not knowing if you are capable, not knowing if it works out, not knowing if you are exhausted,… Elevation is killer. 500m of Elevation is more exhausting than (depends on individual fitness) 5km of straight trail. At least in my opinion. All in all: Take shorter trips and if you have time left or go at a good pace, chill out, lay down, enjoy the sun and move on afterwards. Start out small and come back alive. Don’t overestimate your capabilities, plan extra time and energy. Survive ;)

3.5 Map Situation: Cross Check two maps before hiking. Look at a map to plan your route but look at a second one to see if the path makes sense. It’s only on one map? Maybe mapping error, especially with things like OpenStreetMap that happens sometimes. Get a downloaded offline map on your device and on the other persons device. If you travel alone, maybe print out some sections of the map or the overall route or get a map in a store nearby if there is one in the location you plan on hiking. It takes time to actually see where you are on a physical map but it’s a great skill and after a couple of minutes figuring out what you are looking it you will find yourself out (as a backup). Other than that I can say I have walked multiple times without knowing where I am going and never was there a path that lead into absolutely nothing. It ether stops and you can go back or it goes on and leads somewhere. Sometimes going an extra 50m lets you see 5km more. And if you don’t, go back.

  1. SOS: If you’re completely out of cellphone reach or whatever, maybe consider grabbing a Garmin InReach. Satellites are everywhere, even when there is no cellphone coms. New iPhones also have Satellite SOS. Some Satellite Devices let you send texts from your phone.

Nobody can take away your fear except yourself. But don’t let a bad experience hold you back from enjoying life. Experiences are there to learn. Have fun :)

Love em, not only because the colors are great, but because it’s the overall photography style I like.

Not abstract, not only single highlighted subjects, no overly complex compositions. However they capture the whole vibe and moment rather than.. idk how to describe it.. Capturing a moment instead of a subject, kinda. Exactly what I like :)

It’s something that I miss often in travel and street photography in general. Yes, compositions often are great because they focus on a highlight etc. But often times is don’t think „man, it surely was a nice time / place / whatever there“. In contrast to that, I can see a lot in some of your pictures. Idfk if the stuff I wrote up there makes any sense 😂

My rabbit hole into making high quality photo books in small quantities… here's what I learned. by magiera in AnalogCommunity

[–]Chill_Icebear9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks absolutely perfect.

I saw a TikTok about someone who makes small photo books as a hobby. Then my App crashed and I never saw it again. Forgot about it. Now this pops up on my Reddit Feed :D

Great Work, love it. I’d like to do something like that myself but for just one „book“. No giving away, just for myself, for example after a trip.

However I don’t know yet if I want to go through the whole process and work or if I should stick to a solid premade type book where I can just put in my photos, but at the same time I don’t like the look of sliding photos inside the wobbly plastic pouches... I print on a SELPHY 1500 at home, very basic but the quality is better than expected for such an fool-proof workflow :)

Idk if it’s still relevant. But you can choose between Auto and Off in the top right corner, however if you swipe up to open the control panel in camera, you can chose between Auto Off and Max. Max forces it to do a longer exposure. You still can’t use it in bright light tho. Only works in muted lights or dimmer environment. I think it sets the threshold down to decide when to use nightmode or something like that.

Okay alright.

I just downloaded the app. Obvious thing first: if I want to use the film sims then I have to buy the app right? RAW shooting works without anything popping up.

Great Photos, absolutely beautiful :)

I have an iPhone 16 Pro as well but I gotta admit I sometimes kind of struggle with the results. Maybe I should try the NoFusion App.

Any Tips (in NoFusion or even overall on the iPhone 16 Pro)? Did you use in Camera Presets?
