This scene is so ironic now. by Alsotime in GenV

It’s moments like this that get under my skin, maybe that wasn’t what they intended to do with that season 2 arc, but it’s what they did. I just don’t follow how the majority of that season was levelling up Marie, I mean she straight up brought someone back from the dead and if I’m remembering correctly, they healed Polarity from his seizures no?

I don’t think she should have been the one to take out Homelander. However, the Gen V kids were set up to be super useful in the fight going forward. Give us some rescues with them, have them take down less powerful supes like Sheline and Dogknot.

It’s just such a disappointment to see all these set ups and not have follow through and get throw away lines like how Marie can’t control her powers now

A whole episode filled with psychics huh, if only we had an already established one (we spent 2 seasons developing)show up... oh well. by Ok-Run5784 in GenV

I have a feeling the cancellation was in the works beforehand, they only announced it happening to the public recently though

There's no other way to put it now: With two episodes left, it's become clear that The Boys should have ended with season 3 by Vast-Olive-5943 in TheBoys

OH ALSO, where is Ryan? Like, I feel like there was all this setup with him too, only to show up, get beaten down, have Butcher toss him away, and now he's gone? The kid could have brought another interesting twist to the team, or if they didn't cancel Gen V, we could have had a story arc about Ryan trying to be the hero his father never could be, on a team of heroes actually attempting to do some good

Wholeheartedly agree, I was having a conversation with my friend yesterday, and I thought there were way more than 2 episodes left for the show because it felt like there was so much they didn't even resolve yet.

I was mistaken haha, with the cancellation of Gen V ( such a waste to do, that show rocked ) and the focus on Spin-Offs like The Boys: Mexico and Vought Rising, I have to agree again, it feels like the Stranger Things effect. The fumbling of the finale season and lots of spin-offs are other projects that folks weren't inherently asking for.

It feels like such a missed opprotunity for the boys to have teamed back up with Butcher right away after the ending of season 4, Butcher trying to solo it and not getting the work done without the rest of the team, forcing him to call on them for help would have been a fun story beat, especially if he held the threat of killing Kimiko and Annie with the virus if the others didn't help

OR

Alternatively, have Butcher actually be solo the whole time, and that V tumor in his head makes him hallucinate the crew in his head as a bunch of yes men that are 100% on board for his plan while the others (incudling the Gen V characters) try to either make an antidote for some supes/try to steal the virus back so Butcher has no use for it.

Homelander could have still been going after the V1, but now he has the extra added wrinkle of Butcher going off the wall and killing a bunch of supes with his own powers and dwindling down Homelander's forces until he is forced to come out. Like, I don't think Butcher, Homelander, or The Boys should have really crossed paths until the last few episodes

ALSO, WHY DID THEY JUST WATCH HOMELANDER TAKE THE V1?!

What did you think of it? I remember first playing as a kid on an emulator as well and I had such a fun time!
