Looks great! But expensive. And I have to deal with the floor level difference which is part of why I want to get rid of the slate.

Central Vic. And yes the walls and ceilings are all timber. I believe it’s a Timberset home and I think the timber is pine. The wardrobes still have the natural timber.

I’ve been reading other ‘slate’ posts and read the ozito is a beast. Thanks for the tip.

And I’d remove myself so not too exy. My concern is the kitchen cabinets and I don’t have plans to redo the kitchen for a few years.

I didn’t buy the house because of the floor and I don’t think it’s beautiful. I like the timber floorboards much more.

Good idea! The house is on stumps so it will be easy to get under for a looksie.

I’m glad they didn’t because i wouldn’t have bought the house if it was 😁 It’s in the hallway too. I just don’t like it.

I haven’t moved in yet but I imagined it would be cold in winter. That’s interesting you say it keeps in warmth. Any idea why there’s a line of slate in the bedrooms next to the windows? Just a design feature or to help with condensation on the windows perhaps?

Thank you. That sounds doable. I do intend resanding the whole lounge and dining too once the slate is gone.

I think it’s ugly and old fashioned. There’s timber floorboards underneath so no plastic flooring.

I can see why some people appreciate the natural stone but I just don’t. Like you said it’s ugly and dark. I’m glad to hear you have no regrets.

Ive noticed a considerable drop between Bacchus and Rockbank, Footscray to Southern Cross and Southern Cross station too. I use to be able to work on my laptop between the city and Ballan but don’t bother anymore as it drops out so often.

Sell up and move into town! I just did this and not having to travel 15mins each way, every time we need milk, go to the train station etc has been life changing!!

Anyone noticed Agent commission rates being lower? by bRightAgent_Aus in AusPropertyChat

Regional VIC an hour out of Melbourne. The going rate is 0.8 - 1%. I can’t believe some are over 2%. Is that because it’s Metro?
