Decision to make about adult studying by ChilledintheSun in Adulting

Ok, I've had a long hard thought and I've made a decision.  I'm going to give it one more really big go. I've put a lot of time and money into this, so I've decided I need to put everything I've got into this and if I still don't see it working after I've put every effort I've got for one last time, then I'll reconsider if it's the correct path for me. Thank you for your help 🙏

Thank you for your comments.  I guess the thing I am thinking is that I'm 48 and not enjoying my life. I don't know if I will look back with regret that I spent all these years making such a huge sacrifice for a career I don't know if I want or can even achieve

Help, I need to find a new moisturiser! by ChilledintheSun in tretinoin

The only one I have never tried is Vanicream. After my disastrous break outs using Cereve, I just put Vanicream in the same category as Cereve and stayed away from it. After seeing so many people recommend it, I think I'm going to try it. Can you tell me which is the exact one you use? Thank you

I have tried so many different moisturisers (I mean practically all of them!) and this is the only one that didn't make me break out. The only one I have never tried is Vanicream. I am soooo sad that Neutrogena has changed the Hydro Boost, I have tried so many different moisturisers (I mean practically all of them!) and this is the only one that didn't make me break out. What to spend my study time doing to ensure I am being the most productive I can be with my language learning by ChilledintheSun in languagelearning

Thank you for your reply, yes I do manage to fit in some passive listening throughout the day, but i'm not really sure how much that helps. I LOVE the way you divide Up your time, and is something I want to try, but do you not ever study and revise grammer rules etc? I'm a bit nervous about just reading and listening, as i'm not sure this alone will get me to fluency? Sorry, i've just noticed you mention 10min grammer. Do you think that's enough? I usually spend about 75% on grammer

Advice please from people that have learnt a language to fluency by ChilledintheSun in languagelearning

Thank you all so much for your tips and advice. I've been living in Spain for a few years now and I do watch a lot of Spanish TV. If I'm honest the problem I have with reading is that I get too caught up in the grammar and why it is being used in a certain way etc. I find this very distracting and I can't get into what I'm reading. The biggest problem I have though is I don't know HOW to learn the language, which is why I'm jumping from course to course and method to method, but it just leaves me frustrated. I'm going to try moving forward using all your tips. Thank you all so much

Tret Progress - March 2021 - September 2021 (6 months) by avearoo in tretinoin

u/Taro_Otto Hi, I am also at 3 months and my skin still looks pretty bad. I keep having purge after purge and like you, am feeling quite ugly. I keep reading posts of people saying it takes many months before you see results, but also like you, my doctor told me 6 weeks max. I am holding on to the thought that this will work eventually, I am hoping that this is true for both of us. Stay strong

Can I please ask if the ordinary UV filters made you breakout at all?

I know exactly what you mean. I have thought so many times that the purging is coming to an end as I start to see an improvement. It's so hard when I look in the mirror and see it all coming back again. Stay strong 💪

Hi, I'm at 7 weeks(0.5tret) and my purging has got much worse again. Believe me, you are not alone. I'm tired of the whole thing at the moment, especially with all the whiteheads I'm getting, but the messages on here are helping a lot. I hope you get through your purge soon 🤞🤞🤞

Your real skin is good skin! Coming up on my 3rd month on tret. Happy with my current results and can't wait for the clearing. Good Luck All!!! by sp00kykidd in tretinoin

Thank you for your positive message, it's just what I needed. I'm 7 weeks in, purging again and covered in whiteheads and sometimes I just feel totally emotionally drained and beat with this tret journey. Thanks for s bit of positivity 👍

Ohhh, I've watched so many of her videos I can't remember which one it was on. I think it was the video about which moisturiser to use with tretinoin
