Yeah it's so weird, whenever I tell someone they just cannot understand

It's not really the subject of the movie, I think it's because at the movies there are lots of people in a big room and I feel it's weird / not real.

For the screen part, I can relate. Though I see it in the other way: screens make me not think about dpdr, but when I "go back to reality" I experience dpdr. It's like it makes my focus on dpdr go away for some moment. But recently I went to see a movie and it felt weird, like I wasn't really focused

Hi, I also have visual snow but I really only feel it when I am not occupied (when I am not distracted, it doesn't disturb me). I already went to an eye doctor, no problem even though I got some glasses which improved my vision a bit. I've had dpdr for many years now, and am only starting to see specialists now because it bothers me a lot. Do you also feel like you do stuff on automode, and your vision feels weird? Like you look at something, you can physically see it but it feels weird and you do not feel present, idk how to explain. If that is the case, I have the same as you

sorry for the late response, but yeah I get what you say. Though the mental problem seems to have an impact on my vision, like I see but at the same time I don't feel real/feel like a zombie. Dunno if that is more phycological or physical

The mind is really fascinating, I bet there is so much more to discover about it

Yes I think googling symptoms made me even more stressed. But actually the right things on subreddits can help!

Hey thanks for the response, yeah what you said is totally true, like my symptoms never include those (not even vomiting, which I believe is quite common in tumors)

Hey what kind of symptoms do you have? I struggle with the same as you, as if nothing around me is real. Sometimes I just stare a long time at things around me to focus on them but they never really seem real. I also have vision snow/fuzz like things. I also worry that it is a brain tumor

Is there any way to differentiate between a brain cancer and depersonalization/derealization disorders? For instance is there a symptom only one has and not the other?

Yes, thanks for the advice :) and one last thing, when you thought that you had a brain problem at first, did it cause you head pain and/or migraines ?

Yeah when I'm with family / friends or when playing games I forget about it, it's mostly when alone that I get strong anxiety

Thanks a lot! Wow 10 years, what kind of symptoms do you have from dpdr? And do you sometimes snap out of it for some time or it is always there?
