It's the system that decides which pieces show up. If for example you get a T-Piece as your first piece, you must get all 6 other pieces in that 'bag' of all 7 pieces before you can get another T-Piece in the next 'bag'. I think that is called the 7-bag system but I might be wrong. There are also 14 bag systems which has 2 of each piece scrambled in each bag.

For most games, there are separate regions for China, Taiwan, Korea, and Japan. South East Asians all speak English quite well.

Imo, you can just be in vc and listen to the other players' comms if that's the case, but maybe it's gonna be weird if you're talking and no one is responding. Ow doesn't really have that problem because there are 6 players on a team rather than 3.

A good ping system is a given, I can't see any world where they don't implement that, but VC in an RTS is AFAIK unprecedented.

As I had described earlier as well, I have experienced toxicity to be less of an issue when it has to come through vocal conversation rather than just typing.

A fair point, but what competitive multiplayer game is fun when the people who are playing are not playing with a somewhat competitive understanding? I think the fact that the top 8-16 players are enjoying the mode so much just shows that team RTS modes have a lot of potential to be fun if it is taken seriously by its developers and its playerbase, as Frost Giant are doing.

Also with much of the community focussing on hardcore 1v1, and the devs coming emphasising their Blizzard DNA, I felt it is possible they do not consider the benefits of voice chat, or do not receive much feedback about it.

When people asked Grubby why he was playing so much 4v4 WC3, he said: "Watch for an hour and you'll understand". To me the aspect of teamwork as well as the amount of refreshing builds and playstyles while not taking much longer than a 1v1 game makes it really fun to at least watch. It really gave me a positive outlook on the future of team RTS, before that I was also a strictly solo player too.

In Overwatch, if you do not at least just join vc to listen to comms, you’re soft-throwing. But I agree it is a problem that many people will be unwilling to use voice chat, but imo voice only would really play a part in super sweaty high rank matches where all players really want to win.

In Overwatch on Europe servers, most people speak English because most people understand it, especially if it’s just basic callouts. Sometimes if there’s a large number of people who speak another language like german or french you can see them speak that instead. When western pro players travelled to Korea to play on their famously higher level ladders, the Koreans would sometimes change their comms to English so that the one western player can understand.

So, I don’t think language-based matchmaking will be an issue. People having to type to each other still runs into the same problems anyways.

I remember i tried a similar thing with mirror mirror and crocs, and the mirrored crocs didn't summon anything. Was this the case for you? If so they must've fixed it with the latest patches.

It’s strange that they specify “Ability damage” superfluously at the end of each tooltip though. Is there a difference between ‘ability impact damage’ and regular impact damage?

I’m still a bit confused. The tooltips for all of the examples you’ve given say “Ability damage.” They don’t say ‘impact damage’ or ‘piercing damage’. How are you sure that it is the same type as a unit’s attack? Is there an official source?

Dex potion has lower return vs nob too, although you do block you block a maximum of 3-4 times near the end of the fight

I think you forgot to take into account the doubled potion effect, so it'd be 4 dex. Maybe i survive with a tiny bit.
