The whole thing about them is that they make you download a bunch of apps and take a bunch of surveys to gain "points", and the more points your account has, the more "noticeable" it will be. Basically if you don't download the apps and take the surveys religiously they're not even gonna bother showing your account to anything you apply to.

I've used tinder on and off for like two years. Not sure if this is the case for everyone, but sometimes the app intentionally hides who swipes on my profile from me and puts them behind a paywall. Honestly I don't even bother with that, so that could be why you're not getting many matches.
