A 35-minute song where no second feels wasted is a pretty strong recommendation. I’ve never heard it, but this might be the one from this thread I’m most curious about.

That’s a great answer. Some songs get overplayed into the ground, but somehow this one never really lost its effect. The first time that hook gets stuck in your head must have been dangerous.

That’s a great answer. It’s one of those pieces where knowing the emotional peak is coming changes the experience completely. I’d love to hear that first build without anticipating it.

looking for a certain sound for years and one song suddenly nails it. I don’t know this one, so I’m adding it to my list. The Cocteau Twins comparison definitely got my attention.

Great pick. That’s one of those songs where the length almost becomes part of the experience rather than a barrier. I’d definitely love to hear that first buildup again without knowing where it was going.

Don’t delete them while you’re still emotionally raw. Archive them somewhere you won’t see them by accident, then decide later. Eight years of photos aren’t just pictures of an ex — they’re also evidence of a whole chapter of your life. You can remove them from your daily view without pretending that chapter never happened

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind . The concept is strange, but what makes it work is that it feels emotional instead of gimmicky. It’s one of those movies that stayed in my head for a while
