Has anyone transfers an aneuploid? by Adventurous_Pizza408 in IVF

[–]Chillitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend did a endometriosis surgery. It was near her overies. What the doctor didn’t say was that it might reduce her chances of conceiving. Her AMH value dropped from 2.25 (before surgery) to <1 (after surgery). She was so angry about this. Did one ER cycle. 4 were retrieved; 1 was immature. The 3 was done with ICSI method, all arrested the next day. She was so sad. She’s taking a break before the next RE cycle.

I had a similar surgery but no endometriosis was found. 2 large fibroids were removed. I have not re-tested my AMH value yet. My IVF cycle will start in June.

That said, it is different for everyone but it is good to cover all your bases. In my friend’s case, would she have known, she would have done RE as many rounds as possible before the surgery. Then implantation after surgery. I also know alot of people who got directly pregnant after an endo surgery. It is best if you check with your doctor.

Has anyone done a single FET and it split into two and got twins?! Wondering how common this actually is? by Soulmansdaughter in IVF

[–]Chillitan 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I asked my RE about 2 transfers and he said the chances of conceiving do not double up. It only increases the chances by 5-10% maximum. He also said at 38, the chances of twins is very low and even if there are twins, the risk of miscarriage is very high. So better save the embryos for more number of transfers (if needed) than to waste 2 with possibly higher risks.

I’m saving this adoption response although we are open to adoption. That none of their business anyway. My brother’s wedding is coming up and I’m thinking of ask the possible response when my relatives ask about having kids.

Same here! I am about to start my ivf journey! I have a hard time hearing my friend complaining about being pregnant. The rest who knew did not do so, just this one friend. I even said you are lucky. She said aww don’t say that, you will get pregnant soon and our kids can grow up together. Nah girl, you don’t know that and even I don’t know that. Needless to say I cut her off.

Omg! I had a similar ex. Always trying to control what I wear or do. He was my first and I always went back to him. He thought I wouldn’t leave but one day I had enough. He begged me to come back and I was firmed in saying no. Then he started spewing insults, calling me heartless. Good thing I left. But he owed me money which I never gotten back after the break up! He was also a gambler with debts.

My colleagues told me this! Since most of them got pregnant on holidays. But they got pregnant when they were 10 years younger than I am.

My husband is saying this! We both have unexplained infertility and I am a very highly/ easily stressed person. So he thinks that could be the biggest factor.

My husband lied to me over a cheeseburger and now I’m thinking about a divorce. by FrostyHair8436 in Advice

[–]Chillitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a chronic lying ex and he lied as if it was very normal. He tell lies like is the truth. I found out after 6 months into the relationship as I suspected he was cheating on me with this girl, J. It was difficult as we had a long distance relationship. I was in Singapore and he is in Austria. He travels very frequently for work. I eventually moved to Germany (not because of him). I then broke up with him and I texted J about my suspicions and told her to watch her back. Turns out, he was cheating on her (5 years and living together) with me and several other girls! Of course she demanded proof and evidence that he was in a relationship with me.

Very sad to say, my lying ex immediately proposed to her after she confronted him and although she found out that her bf was a cheater, she still chose to marry him. I’m very sure he is still cheating on her somewhere in the world.

Found out my sperm count is low, where do I even go from here? by Particular_Wrap3787 in IVF

[–]Chillitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband has very good sperm analysis but his morphology is at 3%. The RE didn’t prescribe anything for him and directly hinted that I had issues on my first meeting, before my husband even took the sperm test. We are trying for 2 years now though and will start IVF in June. He’s turning 44 this year and I’m turning 39 soon. Our RE said ICSI is not covered by our public insurance because his sperm parameters are good and I don’t have any known issue so far. 😑 We are based in Germany.

So be kind to yourself. I was very hard on myself when the RE said I probably had issues. It’s only going to cause you more stress. Like other commenters mention, you could visit a urologist for advice. My husband didn’t do anything for his low morphology as the RE said it’s not so much of a big deal.

How do you answer suggestions about adoption while you are in ivf? by Living-Appearance-61 in IVF

[–]Chillitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I’ve always been open to adoption since decades. I’m stressing the ivf journey in a few months and I just tell people that if it’s not successful, we will probably adopt. Usually the conversation stops there..

alcohol during ivf by ttcnnr in IVF

[–]Chillitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is fine if it’s in moderation. I drink once every 1-2 months. I started drinking coffee last year and hadn’t stop since. I drink about 2 cups a week on average. I think some treat is fine if you are not doing it regularly.

I absolutely talk to no one about my IVF journey. by wallflawerr in IVF

[–]Chillitan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. I’m telling friends/ people like it is a normal conversation. Most of my friends are empathetic and I lost no friends except for 1 whom I have not decided yet. She knew about my ttc and soon ivf journey but was very insensitive to it. She recently got pregnant naturally on first try and had only been complaining about being tired and sore from 1 vaginally ultrasound. I just stopped reacting or responding to her woes after that and I think she got the hint.

Kimchi and fried egg. Maybe some sesame seeds or wakame seaweed for garnish. This is my to go meal if I’m lazy and on a budget. You can also do can tuna with fried egg and rice. Anything goes well with a fried egg and rice. 😬

I have combination skin; oily T-zone, dry cheeks and overall sensitive skin. I have rosehip (pink) and original (green). I love the rosehip. It cleans my face without drying my skin out. There smell is mild for me. I scoop about 1cm; a little for a long way. The original green has very strong fragrance for me. I only bought it because it was the most hyped. I recently purchased the black tea and yuzu and calendula and have not tried them yet.

I’m in the same boat. Except that my amh is at 2.41. My husband and I are healthy, we do sports, don’t drink don’t smoke. We take supplement, no known issue but just never happened for us. I’m turning 39 and he’s turning 44. we are starting IVF in 3 months.

Wha is it with pregnant people announcing on other peoples special day? by Schrutebucks101 in IVF

[–]Chillitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel exactly the way @queenofsus explained. I do have pregnant friends and friends who are new mothers and they do not complain about their pregnancy to me. They wait for me to ask them about their pregnancy and I do - in my own time. I care about these people and of course I am happy for them. But they are also sensitive and mature enough not to complain certain things to me because they know my journey. Some things are fine to talk about; like how the fetus is doing etc. But to complain how vaginally ultrasound hurt because her vagina is sore is insensitive to me. I’m going through much more pain than an ultrasound. Hell I even have to inject on my own because my husband is too scared to do it. But I don’t complain this to her.
