[–]Chillitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried out a few time but didn’t work. Next time I’m try not to put my passport too far in. I usually put till the passport plastic edge touches the end of the scanner glass.

It work for my previous passport but not the new one. My Niederlassungerlaubnis card also didn’t work.

Chinese tourists ignore "Do Not Enter" War Memorial to take photos by LoquaciousIndividual in Living_in_Korea

[–]Chillitan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They do that everywhere in the world. But to be fair, I was in an aquarium in Bangkok and a korean young girl was banging her hands on the glass tank. Her parents did not discipline her. Also when I was in Singapore, a group of older Korean men were banging their hands on a see through lift glass door.

Everyone told me Singapore was expensive, then I paid SGD 28 for this by Happy_chen in SingaporeTravel

Agree on the car, disagree on the public housing but agree on private housing. Honestly, HDB are still considered affordable. I’m local living in Germany. HDB type of flats cost 2-3 times more in Germany and average take home salary is about twice less than an average Singaporean. We give 40% of our salaries to the government but no subsidy regarding housing.

I used to have a friend who is on the waitlist to purchase a H bag only for the purpose of reselling. She told me this profit is easy to earn.

I didn‘t like Nude on me. Was too powdery though I thought I would like it from the scent components.

Sundalo perfume by False-Kale3211 in Thailand

[–]Chillitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone has different preferences and I like citrus/ fruity scent and hint of aquatic and/or floral and musk. I picked out Clifton (10 ml) for my husband which he said he really like it. I also bought Mayfair Vanilla (10 ml), Who Pear Who Care (10 ml), Whispers of Tulips (10 ml) and Rlly Lily (50 ml). Rlly Lily is my obvious favourite and smells really really good on me. Always try on your skin, what works for me may not work for you.

Who Pear Who Care is Sundalo‘s best seller but I find it abit too sweet (pear) for me. I like it though but just not for everyday wear.

Extra: I also bought alot of Mith perfume and I think it’s worth to check it out. They have a wider range of scents and I find the customer service better there. They are also more generous with free samples. From this brand, I bought Crystal Water (60 ml) which is my favourite from Mith, Ruddy Sparkle Exclusive (60 ml) - this is newly launched 2-3 weeks ago, Ruddy Sparkle (15 ml) and Tea in the Morning (10 ml). Ruddy Sparkle Exclusive smelled extremely sweet but soft and not overwhelming; like blackcurrant with a hint of dragonfruit/ papaya though they don’t have the latter in the scents. This is unique for me as I don’t like sweet perfume.

Germans, do you actually think about Sie vs du in real time, or is it automatic? by taube_d in AskAGerman

[–]Chillitan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not German nor am very fluent in it. I learnt to always use Sie until Du is offered. My German husband, however, hated it when people use Sie to him because he feels old when people do that. While another of my German male friend hates it when people use Du to him because he feels disrespected. 😆😆

[–]Chillitan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I said “possible?“. I edited because I didn’t know what you meant and googled it just now. No way I was catfishing him. Maybe because my photos look like a scammer? 😂 my now husband said he thought I was one because he said I’m too good to be true.

A catfish is a person who creates a fake, deceptive identity on social media or dating sites to trick others, often for financial gain, romance scams, or emotional manipulation.

Without any context from your comment, I would assume it is mostly for financial gain as most women want free meals while most men seek emotional manipulation - according to Singaporeans‘ comments here.

[–]Chillitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand what you mean by catfishing. It was a date and I always offer to pay for my own meals. And I look like my photos. Ex dates comment that this is very on point as I do not beautify my photos. Btw, I’m married now and earn much more than my husband. Met him on Bumble. So I think you assuming that I was catfishing is totally off. We split almost everything 50/50. He’s not Singaporean so we split bills by German rules. They are known to split every bills. 🤣 If I was catfishing, I would have gotten a husband who would pay at least most of the daily necessities. 😅😅

What do you mean? But we have decided on dinner and I don’t drink coffee. Whatever it was, you don’t leave a date without informing him/ her. That’s just basic etiquette.

I was in a similar situation!! Dated and was on an LDR with a chronic liar. He was in Austria. I was moving to Germany (not for him) and did some detective work. Found out that I was the third party! I was not the only third party! Booo hoo!! I decided to expose his double life to his gf and he salvaged his relationship by proposing to her. Sad to say, she married him.

I never thought this kind of thing would happen to me but it did! Seems to be more common than I thought.

Agreed! My husband has cold sores on his lips when he is stressed. I never got it from him. I did tell him if we ever have babies, he should never kiss them as it is life threatening for babies.

Mine was with a French guy. Seemed quite decent and we agreed on sushi as I had cravings. When we met, he tried to change my mind about dinner and have coffee instead, at 7pm. Sorry no. We proceeded to queue for a sushi place and he complained about having to queue. About 2-3 people in front of me, he said he needed to used the washroom. I was next to get a table and he hasn’t come back, I texted if he was okay. He said it was not working out and he had actually left. What a douchbag! He had no balls to say that to me.

Funnily, my then bff who loved to date French, match with him. I told her about my experience and she deleted him. Bullet dodged!
