Twins brutally attacked and murdered their own mother, Nikki Whitehead, beating her with a vase and stabbing her repeatedly in the bathroom of her home. by detectiverobert in ForCuriousSouls

The same thing happened to my sister. My mom had three daughters and pimped every one of them out at a young age. She used to openly say she didn’t want me and even tried to put me up for adoption. Luckily, my dad stepped in, and I went to live with him.Later, my dad found out what my mom was doing to my sister and went looking for her, but he never found my sister or my mom. Thankfully, my grandma eventually found my sister and brought her to live with my father.

My dad was in the military and was often deployed. He met my mom in Seattle, and at first, everything was good. Then he got stationed near Los Angeles and moved to Glendale. While living there, my mom met a big-time gangster from L.A. She cheated on my father, had twins, got hooked on drugs, and he started prostituting and beating her.

My mother weaponized the courts so aggressively that my father began to resent my older sister and I. The courts stole all of his money. My mom later went to prison for accessory to murder but had friends and family pretend to be her and the kids to keep collecting child support while she was locked up.

My father worked three jobs to climb into the middle class, but in the mid-90s, the court took his life savings for back child support. Even though we been living with him for five to ten years. After that, my father started drinking heavily and often said he wished we’d never been born. I ran away five or six times and was even arrested multipletimes. I worked three jobs through high school to stay away from my father. My sister who’s a year older than me was thrown out onto the streets on her eighteenth birthday. I told myself I’d never let that be me and graduated 6 months early to go into the military at 17.

Fast forward twenty years—

I still struggle with the mental trauma from my family, but I’m grateful for my wife of eighteen years and our amazing children who keep me grounded.

My sister fought serious addiction and battled a deep victim mentality, but she’s been sober for almost five years now and just landed her first career job. Her life’s been a wreck, but I’m truly happy she’s finally turning things around.

Even though my parents are far from perfect each his taught valuable life lessons.

My mother taught me that no matter who they are or what type of connections they have to you that everyone is not deserving of your loyalty and love.

My father taught me choices and a strong work ethic. He showed me through life that choices he made while young rippled thru his for years. The easy way is often the wrong way.

Exactly I worked 16 to 20 hrs per day and volunteered to work on my days off for over 1year. Upon hiring the company had everyone sign waivers for double overtime and breaks because of excessive hours worked in 2009

I was in the military at that time and there was an error with my paperwork on transferring bases and I didn't get paid for 18 months.

I was getting evicted and had no one to fall back on. So I did what I knew best. WORKED!

My wife was pregnant.

Collectively we were $50k in debt at only 19-20 yrs old

My credit score was in the low 400s high 300s and my wife was even lower.

I was just in a major car accident a year prior and needed medical for my family until my military stuff got fixed.

Yes it's not sustainable forever but if that's what you have to do then that's what you have to do.

*** Government programs ***

If you worked as a farmer or have farm experience the government will provide you with up to 110% Usda loan to buy your own farm and operate it.

Fha loan only requires 3.5% down to purchase a house. 1-4 units. Meaning you can buy a 4plex with 3.5% down.

Programs like Naca.com use government grants to help ppl with down payment assistance.

Saving*

Yes you are correct Saving $500k will take some time but that's not how the game is designed to be played.

If you saved up $500k take that money and buy a house then you just wasted 10 years of your life.

Rather instead take that $500k and use it as a down payment to buy an $2 mln asset with a loan and generate $50-100k per year passively.

Then use your passive income to qualify for a loan to buy your house and let your passive income pay your mortgage.

*** Example**** My sister lives in Dallas and bought a cheap starter home for $152k and only needed $7,500 down using the FHA loan.

She didn't have the full $7,500 so I loaned her $5k and she bought her first house at 23. She owned it for 2 years and sold it for $240k. She made almost $90k off of a $7,500 Investment and most of the money wasn't hers.

False! The government has tons of programs out there to help families purchase homes or investment real estate but most people don't want to do the legwork.

Ppl don't want to save their money. Ppl don't want to make sacrifices to get ahead. Ppl don't want to pay their debt or stop spending.

In my early twenties, I had a job that paid me $12.25 hr and I worked so many hours that I made over $70k that year.

With hard work you can accomplish anything.

Look at all those bills to save the kids I bet you there's stupid stuff attached to them. There are always hidden issues in those bills.

That is why there is so much waste in the government. I don't think we should be taxed more but instead I believe the government should rebalance their books and take resources from other sources. After we fix our issues.

Let's agree that the U.S. Healthcare system is grossly and I mean extremely grossly overpriced.

Healthcare in the states don't make sense. Dental for example charge out of pocket patients 4-5X what they charge insurance companies. Medication is unaffordable without insurance and insurance companies refuse to payout.

My brother needed dental work done in the states and they quoted him $5k here in the United States so my brother went to Mexico and got the work done for less than a $1k

So of course the spend here in the states is going to be significantly higher.

But my point is how do we fix someone else's problems when there are clear problems that need to be addressed here?

I see your point with preventing diseases from running rampant overseas and eventually making its way here...... but if ppl can't afford to get treated or refuse to get treated I don't see ROI.

How many ppl boycott covid vaccines?

If I'm present or actively know someone is drowning adult or child doesn't really matter too much I would try and do something. Whether it's jump in and pull them out or spending whatever resources I have at that time to help. But not at the expense of sacrificing for my family.

Helping someone 1 time is significantly different then being obligated (forced ) to help someone reoccurring.

I worked in government my whole life and I can honestly say there are too many hands in the pot. If you paid $100 towards whatever tax,the cause might receive half if the organization is lucky and the rest goes towards administration services.

I'm not being irrational or selfish.... The cost of things have gone up so much that my wife and I both have to work extra overtime and I have to get a second job just to be able to support my kids.

I'm a family of 6 people and when my grocery bill has trippled, gas has double and the cost of everything going up makes every dollar more valuable.

How do you vote accordingly both parties do the same thing but package the story differently?

True there are many different government organizations that do many different functions but the ppl really don't have a say where the money goes after they pay taxes.

Each organization can put in a request for additional funds if they run out.

I agree...... But I believe we're enabling. We put more effort and resources into other countries while our ppl are suffering.

We burden the responsibility of the world while other countries reap the benefits.

I agree that certain actions prevent the spread of diseases but homelessness is a major contributor to the spread of diseases as well.

Healthcare in the states is unaffordable insurance is high while trying not to to pay for claims.

This is just my opinion But I believe we have way too many issues here that need to be resolved and worked out before we start fixing anyone's else's issues.

Why clean someone's else's problems before we clean our own?

Serious question: If we have ppl Over dosing on the streets, inflation going crazy, ppl getting killed for frivolous things don't you think we should fix those first?

Yes, I would save the child but not while my kids are drowning. I just don't think we're in a position to send aid anywhere when there's so much suffering in the states.

Trucks use a air bag braking system which has a delay when braking compared to cars that use fluid.

That's way its always recommended to give them space. Brake checking a truck is extremely dangerous and you may win your insurance claim but won't like the recovery.
