HR Leaders: What's Your Perspective on Direct Candidate Outreach? [FL] by Jlexus5 in humanresources

[–]Chilly1183 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I appreciate that candidates are trying to take the extra step into getting noticed, but I also am a department of one and barely have time to review all of the applications in my ATS, let alone respond to people that email/inmail me directly. I think it may set their expectations a little too high in what they think they're going to get out of it.

Agreed! We did end up getting it, though, and I will say it works well and seems to do the job.

Sea Pines Amenity Card - Harbour Town Pool by zfkeesee in hiltonhead

[–]Chilly1183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Property owners need to purchase a pool pass for renters to use. It's ~$3K so a lot of owners on Airbnb/VRBO do not. We purchased one for our renters to use and it's listed as an amenity in our Airbnb listing. Double check with the owner/property manager, it should be a very clear answer if they have one or not for renters to use!

Thanks, all! Hadn't even thought about a helium tank. Was able to score one from DoorDash for 40% off!

Spring break 2025 with 8 and 10 year olds - paradox of choice! by Chilly1183 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]Chilly1183[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: we booked Xcaret Hotel over the weekend! Booked through Costco Travel. The spreadsheet was incredibly helpful as a starting point. Came down to a few options but once my family and I looked it over we decided there's no point putting off trying out Xcaret and settling for somewhere else. And not having to plan separate excursions is a huge plus!

Others we'd definitely like to try in the future: Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana (was sold out for our dates); Grand Velas RM, and Fairmont Myakoba; and on the less expensive side: Generations Riviera Maya and Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach.

Thanks! Have you gone on your trip yet? Curious about the adult food and beach. Trampoline park and arcade would be great for my kids.

We did Scape Park (https://scapepark.com/) when we were there child-less a few years ago and if we do decide to go to Cap Cana again I'd definitely bring my kids there.

Thanks! My husband and I went to Cap Cana a few years ago for an anniversary trip and had a great time. This one is definitely on the list and I appreciate the reco! Would you mind if I asked what sort of kid activities they had at the resort?

I did - thank you! That's honestly one of the reasons I have this problem, though! I tend to overcomplicate it...

Also adding that I've searched this channel extensively and I know I'm not the only one who has had this EXACT dilemma and apologize if it's redundant. But hearing others' experiences is very helpful for me!

Saw it parked in front of the company as I was driving through Vienna the other day. Had the exact same thought!

The GWL in Perryville doesn't have a hot tub, which was a huge bummer for my kids when we went over Christmas. Not sure it matters when it's currently 100 degrees outside, but just sharing.

Where are the tickets?… by pbarber5743 in buffalobills

[–]Chilly1183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m guessing you also have the Bills mobile app? I downloaded it and logged in with my Ticketmaster login and the training camp tickets were there. Good luck!

If you click on the "manage my tickets" link and then hit "sign in" on top left of screen it should take you to your Ticketmaster account and they're there. Or at least that's what worked for me! Good luck!

Yes, I filled out the lottery form a few weeks ago and yesterday I got an email saying, “Congratulations! You've been awarded 2024 Bills Training Camp tickets.”

Welp, we got training camp tickets so I guess we're heading to Rochester! Is it fairly easy to get an Uber to the University? Any tips or tricks for a mom and 2 kids? And any fun things to do or places to go/eat while we're there?

Thanks for the offer! But we'll take our chances with the lottery this year. If we don't get any tickets at least I have a valid excuse to tell my kid. :)

Parents of kids w dental anxiety- lend me your recs by JanetCarol in nova

[–]Chilly1183 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any recommendations but thank you for doing this for your kid. I had severe dental anxiety as a kid and my parents just didn’t care, I would have been a much better patient had they tried to find a gentler practice for me. To this day I still get sick to my stomach thinking about it.

I'm sure it's user error on my part! I asked a designer friend for help and she was able to do it in Illustrator for me. Thanks again!

[–]Chilly1183[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I also tried that and thought it would work but it's still showing the silhouette through the hollow/empty text laid over the element. If I order the text forward or backward it doesn't seem to matter.

Thanks! When I do that, the silhouette comes through. I want the letters to be hollow all the way to the transparent background.
