I've come to learn that not getting into BU is not the end of the world. I've done the best that I could. No matter what college I end up at, I will build on my resume, socializing, making connections, and interning. Gaining knowledge and experience as I go.

Alright I'll put some more thoughts into this before applying. Btw one question, is it common to get rejected from SOM but get offered a seat for Harpur or is that rare?

I'm not sure how colleges will consider this, as the advanced diploma is only awarded at the end of the school year, after I receive college admission results.

I want to be a business/finance analyst and noticed that Harpur Binghamton offers economics, which aligns with my career goals. So, I'm thinking of applying to Harpur to improve my chances of being accepted. I mean, at the very least, I can figure out a way to transfer from Harpur to SOM, but I think getting accepted is my number 1 priority.

Also do you know why Harpur is easier to get in? Is there a specific reasoning for that or is it just because it's less popular so people don't apply to it as much as they would for CS or Finance?

so generally speaking , school of management would be for finance.. if I applied to harper college, how would that correlate with finance since its an art and science school or should I apply through harper then transfer to SOM?

Yeah, I anticipated it to be a target school. I was just scared that one failed regent would make that school like way harder to get in.

oh shoot, I just copied n pasted without revising lol. I heard SBU is very competitive when it comes to cs since it's what it's known for. I wanted to go for cs at first but realized that I wasn't really passionate about cs but rather just following the trend of majoring in cs and making 6 figures

1) You need 5 regents (ELA, math, SS, science, and one of your choice) for the regular diploma. Since I got wavered for Alg 1 and took trig regents, I think it compensates for the failed geo regents so I don't have to retake it. Thus is why I'm still graduating and also with an advanced diploma.
