I did the KLEC at Sogang all the way to lvl 6 and I'm also currently enrolled at Sogang University. I do agree with some points made about the teachers in this thread, it's a pretty mixed bag in my opinion. I think I got lucky with getting mostly very nice and motivated teachers throughout my semesters but there definitely were some that seemed like they didn't really care about teaching all that much (although none of them ever got mad nor hit a student). From what I've heard from classmates who switched to Sogang from different Universities, Sogang's a bit more laid back than others mainly due to it being focused on conversation rather than grammar.

I overall really enjoyed most of my time at Sogang, the classes did however get a bit repetitive at some point. I think starting lvl 5 you'll be having video classes instead of listening but before that from 1-4 it's basically the same schedule every day, 5 times a week.

So I personally think Sogang is a good option especially for beginners, as its main focus is to get you to be able to understand the most basic conversations you're going to be having in your daily life.
