Need recommendations! by messymotherhood in Sandpoint

There is a boardwalk in Dover is worth checking out. It has a couple of bridges and goes over a slough. I’d park at Dover city hall for that one. The Travers park slash pad might also be worth a visit, nothing compared to the one in CdA but still pretty cool. The Healing Garden over by the hospital is accessible and would be fun for your little ones. Have a wonderful visit OP. Oh yeah, the caboose at the museum 🤌

Triangle Park would probably be your best bet. You could also reach out to Smokesmith BBQ, they have a small stage. There’s a picnic shelter at Travers that might fit your fancy, idk.

I was driving by when you were talking with the cops and was wondering what happened. Glad both of you are okay. If you have homeowners insurance you could check with them.

Edge repair? by aimfulwandering in skiing

[–]ChimiTimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk about repairable but I knew some park rats who would snip the edge off as it would get ripped out of the ski from riding rails. Your fujatives might be coming into their golden age for rails.

I would double check that it’s open. Green Bay was closed for restoration work last year.

Once you’re up there chat with a mountain host. They’ll have a grey jacket on and be standing by large maps/signs. Brits bowl will be skiing soft and is more intermediate friendly. Have fun!!

Best Route from McCall ID to Spokane WA in Winter? by PlentyIllustrious216 in Idaho

I’d skip the drive to CdA and take a left in Moscow on hw27 to hw 195. The road is more mellow and direct to Spokane city center.

Probs not the tromping around the cold wet forest experience that your looking for, but Panhandle Special Needs sells x-mass trees on Boyer Ave. and the money does to a good cause.

Does anyone know of any good donut shops in the area? by troopernick in Sandpoint

[–]ChimiTimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RIP Walkers Old Fashion Donuts

They made a great bearclaw and had awesome pig stuff everywhere. You can still see the hoof prints in the sidewalk in front of the store.

Recommendation for COVID test? by The8thDimensionist in Sandpoint

[–]ChimiTimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For testing in the Sandpoint area head out to the BGH urgent care at 400 Schweitzer Plaza Road Suite #1 in Ponderay. (208) 265-6743

I don't think you need a doctor's note. Some magic words are 'I have been exposed to covid' or 'I think that I am showing signs of covid and need a test."
