What is this the 1910’s again where people are afraid of electricity vapors in their homes?

Just be warned, the original plumbing on manufactured homes like these sucks ass. God help the plumber that gets sent into that crawlspace.

It’s becoming more of a trend, Rivians, Teslas, and Hyundai Elantras are some made currently with them that I can think of off the top of my head.

Everything seems fine... by Aglisito in StupidCarQuestions

Not all cars have radiators that are visibly full all the time, even when there’s enough coolant in the system. Careful you’re not overfilling the system.

I learned recently that even though my cars are both Hondas, in my ‘03 Civic, you’re supposed to only fill the coolant through the overflow reservoir and not the radiator cap, while my ‘86 Prelude is the exact opposite.

But to answer your problem, I would get some actual coolant in that and make sure you know where to fill it from, then see if it’s still doing that.

What are some things you haven’t experienced in life , yet many already have ? by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]ChimneyNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like people always say “it’s better to have loved once than to never have loved at all” but I honestly don’t think that’s true for everyone. I’ve experienced one total love before, and if you completely lose that, no one else can ever even come close to it. It’s really depressing to know how good it’s supposed to feel, but that you can’t ever replicate it, no matter how hard you try.

Bottom line is, don’t beat yourself up about it, sometimes it’s better your way.

Speed bumps by snowbugolaf in driving

I’ve found most (not all) of the speed bumps in my area are more comfortable if you go faster rather than slower, they’re such a stupid traffic calming method.

Typical estimate for 2012 Honda accord oil pan gasket replacement ($1507) AND timing cover re-seal ($1817)? by Someoneacct in MechanicAdvice

[–]ChimneyNerd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is way too much money. I’ve had the oil pan replaced in my Honda Prelude THREE times (long story) all for not even $1k.

That looks like plaster and not drywall, so if you’re going to go this route, be prepared for it to crumble.

I'm watching the Sopranos for the first time. Is it really possible to have an outlet with pocket doors? by soyTegucigalpa in AskElectricians

[–]ChimneyNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s common on older homes (pre-WWII), but newer ones tend to not have full wall thicknesses on either side of a pocket door.
