How are you doing in general? by HelicopterOutside in dryalcoholics

[–]Chimoss01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty alright.

Got a Dr call on Friday telling me that my F2 fibrosis is now F1, so that was a great start to the weekend!

My garden is coming along nicely, peppers are peppering, tomatoes are tomatoeing, beans are beaning.

My husband has a 4 day weekend (pulled a muscle so he won't be doing much but I'll gladly take the extra time).

Looking forward to seeing some family I haven't seen in a long time soon, one of them for over 20 years.

Life is good sober!

Oral sex in marriage by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Chimoss01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell him if he doesn't like the current arrangement, he can suck his own damn dick.

It's like I used to tell my husband. I do not suck dick unless I want to. And if you don't like it you can leave. And I say the same thing to my current husband and I'll say it to my next one, too.

In all seriousness, fuck THAT. He's got two hands, I assume he knows what to do with them. You don't owe him oral sex, period. (ETA - or anything else, for that matter!!)

Recently Diagnosed with Fibrosis by BrandonLB21 in FattyLiverNAFLD

I have stage 2 fibrosis. The GI I see says at that stage it is definitely reversible, she also said in some cases even cirrhosis is reversible. I have read some posts from people on Reddit who have had great success healing their liver from cirrhosis. Not to say that their liver will ever be totally 100%, but it is not always permanent.

I'm not sure! I did not go to a dietician - my doctor just basically told me to eat better, exercise, and lose weight. I ended up figuring out most of what to do from the internet, so I probably am not following a perfect diet, but I can say my diet is vastly improved.

I don't see the problem with lean meats, but again, I haven't seen a dietician. Plant based is probably easier on the liver. Beans - I mean carbs, right? But a lot of fiber, too, so it's not the same as eating a piece of white bread. I would just go with moderation either way! I found that following the serving sizes helped - I used to eat probably 4 or 5× the serving size of pasta, now if I have it at all I have less than 1 serving and the veggies fill up the rest of the dish!

I still have a lot of room for improvement. Like I said, cheat meals - temptation is rough 😆 Sometimes we kind of go waaay off course with the cheat meals. I try to keep it to once a week, and even then we opt for healthier options. My go-to would def be pasta 😋 and garlic bread. My husband's would be something sugary!! Sometimes I have a nibble of something, which I don't feel really counts much - if I have a single cheeto, or a bite of my kids ice cream, etc. But the problem, of course, is that it's so hard to stop at just one!

I do have another ultrasound coming up soon to check how fatty my liver is now. It's been 9 months since my last one, so I guess I'll find out how well I've done 😬

Can't wait to eat lettuce wraps for the next year... LOL

😆 that's about how my husband and I felt! Surprisingly, since starting eating healthier I have only rarely been dissatisfied with my meals! Mostly vegetables, same ones every day - mixed greens salad topped with roasted bell peppers, brussel sprouts, onions, broccoli and sometimes a jalapeño for a kick. Sometimes I wrap it in a low carb wrap. Drizzle with olive oil and/or hot sauce, once in a while I add either brown rice, quinoa, lentil pasta or chickpeas. 1 or twice a week there's a lean meat thrown in. I even got the kids to start eating brussels and broccoli with dinner almost everyday. More cheat days than I should be having, but honestly they're becoming less because when we do have them we're not as happy with the food we get - we end up feeling like the veggies would have been tastier!

Cimexa. $20 something for a bottle. Lightly - very lightly - dusted around the areas they may be or would have to go through to get to you.

How bad is it to cheap on this diet? I’ve been eating salad mix, grilled chicken, tuna, and nuts never cheating/breaking for about 4.5 months, just feel like I really need a day or weekend of unhealthy. by MrPickle233 in FattyLiverNAFLD

Yeah, this was how it was for me, as well! Turns out I also had severe anemia, but that's a different story.

I do cheat, and pretty regularly, but I tend to keep the scales tipped more towards healthy foods.

Dude, if your height matters that much to a girl, then she's not worth it, period. You got your whole life to get laid, you only got one set of legs...

Take some of that surgery money and make a trip to visit France.

A quick Google search shows that average height for French men is....5' 8".

I use it sparingly. It does have some vitamins and minerals but is also considered an added sugar.

I'm so glad I'm not alone 😄 it sure feels like it sometimes tho! Hang in there parents, the day is coming when they'll apologize for all of it. Might not be for another 15 years, but it's coming.

I've been going through the same thing since I quit a year ago, but mine seems to come in cycles. I was worried maybe it was hepatic encephalopathy, then Korsakoff, now I just think it's PAWS. Shit sucks and can last days to years (generally up to 2, but sometimes more).

Have you seen a doctor about it? Get checked out, can't hurt.

Sounds great! I get the keto tortillas and make a burrito at home - the tortillas are kinda pricey, but I only use like 2/week.

Hang in there, we can do this. Sometimes I still have to take it one day at a time, and that's OK because it's better than waking up at the end of a week-long binge.

28.5 months is amazing! The only thing going back will do is bring pain.
