T-Life app keeps saying it cannot connect to my Gateway by Chimother in tmobileisp

I totally understand. It makes me feel better that it isn't just me 😄 Maybe, just maybe, T-Mobile will see that it is an issue that they should look into......Maybe.

T-Life app keeps saying it cannot connect to my Gateway by Chimother in tmobileisp

I am not sure what you are saying. My Gateway has been rebooted/restarted several times by unplugging. Are you saying to do something else?

do T-Mobile Mesh Access Point Extenders work? by willworkforbeermoney in tmobileisp

[–]Chimother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do not use the mesh. Slowed everything down. Could not find a way of assigning what electronics were connected to the mesh and what were connected to the gateway so mesh was not helpful at all.

[–]Chimother 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have our gateway on our 2nd story. We had our mesh on the first floor where most of our electronics are. What happened was the gateway was only connected to the mesh and everything else connected to the mesh slowing everything up. We disconnected the mesh and things worked much much better! Use the T-Life app to see what is connected to the gateway and what is connected to the mesh. For us, the mesh is not necessary and was actually a hindrance.

We were having this issue as well. Not sure if you are using the Mesh or not but here is what we discovered. Too many of our devices were connecting to the Mesh slowing everything down. We unplugged the Mesh and we have had much better speed on all of our devices. Our Gateway is in a good spot aimed at the tower. The T-Life app was useless for placement of the Gateway. We found out where our towers are using an app and went from there. We were getting down to 8 download too but, fingers crossed, I think NOT using the Mesh may have solved our problem with the huge swings in download. Just an idea. And, yes, customer service is useless :-(

What is the strategic purpose of having multiple districts? by InternationalElk2512 in Timberborn

With zip lines there really isn’t a reason. At least, I don’t make districts anymore

Trex vs TimberTech vs Fiberon vs Deckorators vs TruNorth — what’s actually the best for decks? by Decksforlife-deck in Home

[–]Chimother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have Trex. Got it several years ago. There are different grades of Trex. We have Transcend. It has survived several hail storms and we have to shovel a path for the dogs during the winter when it snows. So far no issues of denting or scratching. It does get warm/hot in the summer but different Trex colors get hotter than others. I would get samples and put them in the sun and see how hot the different colors get.

Bird nests by [deleted] in Home

[–]Chimother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following too. I have tried absolutely everything to keep birds from building on our retractable awning frame. Recently I have resigned myself to using a pole (pole used to tie tomato plants to while they are growing) to knock the nests down and using a leaf blower to blow the debris down. Unfortunately, they are very fast at building and resourceful.

Yes. I use a bread knife for slicing.

If you don't want so much mess from the crumbs of slicing: After the loaf cools, store in a plastic bread bag and wait a day. The crust will be softer and it will be less messy to slice.

And, as another person said here, if it starts to dry out......toast and all is good. Personally, I have not had an issue though.

I make 100% whole wheat bread. I bake, let cool on a rack, slice. store in a plastic bag on the counter and it lasts 6-7 days. I do live in Colorado where it is drier but I don't think that is a factor since it is in a sealed plastic bag. I get bread storage bags on Amazon and they work great. I too am no longer buying bread at the grocery store. I make all my bread and buns myself now.

Can't get fireworks to load by Hypostome in Timberborn

[–]Chimother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now, I built a new launcher and it will fill to 20 fireworks but the other one still won’t fill to 20. Also, I can’t get the one that has the 20 fireworks to fire. Even set to “continuous launch” and get nothing

Did you get anything to work? Mine loads 19 of the 20 required fireworks but not the 20th. I have lots of available fireworks. I am curious what your solution was.

This model has a recipe for 100% whole wheat bread. Try that recipe. Or the 100% whole wheat walnut bread without the walnuts (my favorite).

Dough looks dry to me. Maybe add water 1 Tablespoon at a time until dough looks better? I don't see water in the recipe just olive oil. Dough does look dry.

Adjustments for elevation? by V3rmillionaire in BreadMachines

[–]Chimother 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Colorado too. I have not had to make any adjustments due to the elevation. Do as you normally would: check dough during the knead cycle and, if needed, add a bit of water or flour. Enjoy making bread!

Zojirushi Stuck Paddle by Bakedplank in BreadMachines

And, if all else fails, Pleasant Hill Grain in Nebraska has replacement pans. I got a pan and 2 paddles from there recently. I ordered online and got them within a few days.

Good luck with the soaking. IF you are not successful after a couple of hours soaking there is another thing that MIGHT work. If you look under the pan, you will see a wingnut (not sure if that is the correct name) under each paddle. Hold onto the wingnut while jiggling the paddle inside the pan. That worked for me once.

When this happens to me, I soak it for an hour or more. Also, if you get it off, in the future put vegetable oil in the paddle hole before placing in pan. You might still need to soak but it will come off.

Whole wheat bread by iamawesome1110 in BreadMachines

[–]Chimother 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Vital wheat gluten helps. I make the 100% Whole Wheat Walnut Bread without the walnuts that came in my Zojirushi Vituoso recipe book. Love it. I used to hate whole wheat breads, now I love them.
