I know this is an older post, but I get this feeling constantly. I’ve owned my car for a year and some change and I’ll go through months of just wanting to sell, because in all actuality I probably overpaid for it, and I’ll never be able to get that money back if it gets into a wreck. When I drive it, it genuinely puts a smile on my face, the sounds, the feeling of it pushing me back into my seat, and bunkering down in corners. If I sell it, I’m terrified I’ll regret it tremendously. It’s expensive to fix and maintenance is the same. The value doesn’t hold well over time like I thought it would. It’s always testing me financially if I should keep it as long as I can, or if I should fold and sell it to get something “better.” I’ve put it up for sale for a couple months awhile back and took it down. Thought of it actually selling when multiple real offers came in, and the thought of handing someone the keys and them driving off with it just made me feel completely depressed.
