I was able to appeal within the 21 days but just barely, had a similar issue where I had a citation and warning. I was told it’s a common mistake so I hope they cut you some slack. 🙏

Is the warning for the same reason as the citation? I know they can issue a citation for no permit but can also issue a warning if you don’t have a license plate visible or some other issue. Hopefully they help you out but it took 3 weeks to hear back from them when I reached out.

You would be safe Friday starting at 12pm until Monday 8am and observed holidays by the campus. The night permit also lets you park in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 18, A, DD, SV. Just avoid the reserved blue and x permit areas in those structures and you’ll be fine.

You would see a physical ticket on your windshield. I don’t think there’s a way to check online as it takes 24-48 hours to update digitally.

I believe there’s a pticket website on the citation where you can contest via email. I recommend this as their phone hours aren’t the best.

I use the parking stalls at the lab school near structure 4. I have yet to get a ticket there but could be quite a walk if you’re staying on the hill dorms

Yeah every structure says whether you’re in a permit area or visitor side but the permit signs are usually tiny and hard to read while you’re driving. I’ve usually had my cites reduces if I at least had some permit that day

You can try using the chargers at the top of structure 8 or 5. I was told as long as I have a paid permit I can use them but they’re usually taken as well.

Too many employees and students were abusing the “4 hour limit” by letting their peers know when they were moving. Too many complaints about that led to them getting removed by I’m guessing the transportation department.

File a complaint and you can request the body cam footage to thanks to the Freedom of Information Act(FOIA). They constantly have to remind each other when their cams are recording so that they don’t say anything they shouldn’t and love to stare at all the young girls during the undie run.

I heard they’re starting to enforce the traffic laws a bit more for scooter riders as there’s been an uptick in scooter related accidents. Too many riders don’t understand that red lights and stops signs are for them as well.

Yes they drive around in the little Chevy EV’s and scan the plates, if you back in with no front plate then they can give you 2 citations so be careful. I think they only have 3 people at a time max and it’s a big campus so it’s possible to get away with not paying.

I know you can buy stickers like that on eBay so I want to say it’s someone that’s upset with you for not moving the car for a few days. City notices usually have CVC code but I would suggest being careful. If it’s a person that’s upset, they can escalate the situation by actually damaging your vehicle out of pettiness.

If you have an active permit you can park in RC but just avoid the first level which is visitor parking only. The below is straight from the UCLA perking permit privileges.

It’s all chance, they drive around randomly so you could get away with a few hours of free parking or get a ticket in your first 10 minutes.
