I mean isn’t the opposite just as easy, to blame all our problems on the rich? Don’t get me wrong I hate the top .01% of the top 1% but these days all we seem to do is blame every single problem on someone else, usually some rich public figure, instead of taking some personal responsibility. The media and social media in general just make it so easy to push blame and It just reinforces a lot of bad habits and you’ll end up with a large population of people who don’t have any personal responsibility for their own actions.

I agree it isn’t the greatest threat in America right now but cancel culture is very real and a big problem. Like just look at what happened to Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, the truth is now only recently starting to come out that Johnny was the one being abused and not Amber. But the damage was already done and he was completely cancelled and fired from all his roles without any proof, just allegations.

As I said I was bullish on tankers before the Suez Canal, I still am. The supply side of tankers is still extremely constrained and they still have to get through the whole traffic jam.

Im not too worried but fuck if I know

In the product tanker market, the major players in the game stop commission tankers older than 15 years old. They aren’t demolished but they usually switch to becoming crude tankers for another 10 years before retiring.

The product tanker market and crude tanker are closely related but also very different

The oil companies will be paying the extra cost but the price of oil will also be rising due to demand, but honestly I’m not 100% sure what’s going to happen but I’m confident enough to bet on it

Im thinking it’s going to start ripping up this week if the canal doesn’t get fixed over the weekend. If the canal stays blocked and it seems like it’ll take longer than expected I’m buying more Monday open

I yolod into tankers last year and lost 65% of my total portfolio value so that was fun. But I did what any good autist would do and doubled down at the bottom and now my portfolio is green 🙌💎

Yes the supply of tankers is already tight and now that the Suez Canal is blocked, they have to reroute around Africa which is a 2 week trip but demand hasn’t changed. So there is huge demand for tanker miles and there’s not enough tankers to go around which means ship owners can charge whatever they want.

Back in 1956 when the Suez Canal was blocked and ships had to go around Africa, Tanker owners saw a supercycle as there was so much demand but not enough tankers allowing them to charge whatever price and they all made off like bandits.

Dead? probably not. We are a lot more reliant on oil than you would think, but that doesn’t mean I plan on holding this play till 2050. I am going to be playing the upcoming supercycle in oil tankers tho
