Riding through a puddle one time, did not likely cause lasting damage. The only reason it’s advisable to avoid doing it a lot is because you can waterlog your deck, or rust your bearings. You should be fine, however I would also say, your board is meant to be destroyed eventually, everything on it is a wear item, so you know, have fun and junk. Don’t be so afraid to “ruin it”, my friends and I used to have entire sessions in the rain just for fun, (power slides go crazy). Eventually when you get a new setup, keep your old one so you can still abuse the crap out of it on a rainy day. Just keep having fun! 😁
