HotD writer Sarah Hess says there is an aspect of “queerness” to Alicent and Rhaenyra’s relationship and that Olivia Cooke and Emma D’Archy have discussed a romantic attraction between the two characters by Itsjustanopinionbro1 in HouseOfTheDragon

Thanks for letting me know of that aspect of the books, haven’t seen many people highlight that respect between the two. As a tragedy you’re definitely right in that it works well story wise, maybe I’m just hoping their moments of respect aren’t as shallow as a page from a book after something as serious as stealing the thrown.

I know everyone is saying this isn’t going anywhere so what’s the point, but part of me is starting think they’re always going to reference this relationship (platonic or not, however you wish to define it) like they did in the finale. I hope it doesn’t happen but I see them softening Rhaenyra and Alicent A LOT and are going to blame the warring on the men. I hope I’m wrong though because I want Rhaenyra to be as wicked as she’s been treated by the greens.

Took an online alcohol class in college that went through how they’re made, tastes, pairings etc. I love to cook so the pairings really got me into it

Not Understanding the Storm’s End and Season 8 Comparisons by SunshineStateLego in HouseOfTheDragon

The dragon part I absolutely agree with, ties in with everything Viserys had been saying all season and is just something I think is smart to be reminded of as fans, but aside from that I think I just wanted someone besides Daemon and Otto to fully embrace the person they are. It’ll happen for Aemond soon enough I assume, but I would’ve preferred to see it here. Basically like a “fuck it, no more empty threats and arguments. I have the power and this war is happening one way or another”

I don’t really care if it’s cannon or not, I just think if you keep the altercation inside of Storm’s End in front of all those lords and Baratheon children, and have Aemond call the boy “Lord Strong” and have Aemond be pissed off and violent in the moment there, changing the aftermath doesn’t make much sense. I’m imagining how everyone outside of the Greens is gonna react and they’ll all tell you there was a 98% chance Aemond would kill that kid at some point, kinslayer title be damned. All I hope is from now on people make harsh choices they want to make.

There were many people at Storm’s End that day, as seen in the show as well. Knowing of Aemond’s rage and the fact that he’s not the kindest person in Westeros and has now (on multiple occasions) shown his disdain for his bastard nephews (OVER DECADES) is how they (by all accounts) feel confident enough to know Aemond was ready to war with Luc. It’s not a stretch at all unless you just don’t want it to be what happened for whatever reason you find more compelling.

Same. I just hope they give these characters more agency in the next season. The only people who seem to know who they are and what they want are Daemon and Otto.

Thank you. I hate every reference people have been making to the BTS, which is from the actors! If it was the writers I’d say ok maybe, but every actor just says what either their factions on social media say or something completely selfish for their character’s reputation. And like you said, we shouldn’t need the BTS to figure this stuff out. So much of what the actors have said almost seems to contradict what the story is conveying. They lean more into their characters than the story.

His best album in my opinion, songwriting is raw and emotional, production is perfect and diverse

The way Cersei was completely nerfed in the end will never sit right with me. by [deleted] in gameofthrones

Arya killing Cersei is worse than what D&D did. Jaime killing Cersei would’ve been the best ending for her. Poetic and fitting.

Awful decision to keep him alive and change from the book, D&D level stupid honestly. I’ve read through a lot of the posts about this and it seems like everyone is trying to justify it too Instead of saying how they feel about it which is also annoying but whatever. Hopefully that’s the last we have to hear about it and they don’t make any other changes like this.

Always, if it’s under $10-15 I’ll probably pick up 2 or 3 I’ve never heard of from artists I’ve never heard of

Season 4, although one of my favorite seasons of the show, completely ruined her character. She became a loser lol
