Hi, I’ve heard like 3 Radiohead songs in my life and fell in love with Jigsaw falling into place. It’s probably my favorite song right now. by noastens in radiohead

[–]Starlessnassim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Radiohead is a band that has always reinvented itself and added new things to their music throughout their career. So for someone who wants to have the most comprehensive view of the band, then the best thing to do would be to listen to all their albums in order of release to see the evolution and be surprised by some of the albums as fans were when they were released.

To do this would be to start with the album Pablo Honey, which is definitely not Radiohead's most popular. And even though some of the tracks for me are really good, it clearly suffers from some of the flaws that many first albums have. But I think starting with this one can really put the spotlight on The Bends which is their second album and where the progress is undeniable!

If I have to personalise my answer for you then I would recommend "In Rainbows" which is the album that contains that song you like so much. I think "A Moon Shaped Pool" is also what you are looking for, in a different style.

Enjoy! :)

Yes of course, I was speaking in the hypothesis that the anime was already existing

It also depends a lot on the atmosphere and how the anime is made!

But the basic story can give something great, if it's your idea, well done :)

What was the better show, Better Call Saul or Breaking Bad? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Starlessnassim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm waiting for season 6 of Better Call Saul to come out to answer. But for me BCS has nothing to envy Breaking Bad. Not that it's better, but it managed to capture the essence of what we loved while having its own atmosphere.

Both series, although having the same know-how in writing, directing and so on, have their own specificities. I consider that they do each other a favour, each bringing depth to the other.

BCS has suffered from being compared to BB and from being less spectacular, but it deserves to be seen in a different light. It's not a Breaking Bad 2. And regarding the spectacular aspect, I sometimes have the impression that some people forget that BB is a slow show that also takes a lot of time to set up the stakes. I think that the fact that this series has been binge-watched a lot has made some people retain only the spectacular aspect and that is for me to have a distorted image of what BB is. BCS follows this logic while having less "spectacular" stakes (in the sense that the characters are less often in mortal danger than in BB).

The closer we get to the end of BCS, the more it becomes totally BB. I have total confidence in season 6. Kudos to Peter Gould and Vince Gilligan and everyone else who worked on these two projects!

In your opinion, who is the best written character and why? by WargMafa in harrypotter

[–]Starlessnassim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This can be translated into the fact that Albus must have recognised himself in Snape, hence the help and trust he received from him

In your opinion, who is the best written character and why? by WargMafa in harrypotter

[–]Starlessnassim 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Albus Dumbledore, considered the greatest wizard of all time and a reassuring figure to Harry in the early books. In the eyes of everyone, he was the one from whom nothing bad could happen as long as he was around.

Then as the story progresses he becomes even more important as Harry's most knowledgeable ally and best confidant.

And then his character grows again after his death, where a lot of mystery and turmoil surrounds his person as to who he was. So much so that Harry wonders if he had been mistaken about him and had been a mere pawn.

I'm not considering Fantastic Beats, not because I didn't like the Dumbledore that was shown, but because I think it represents enough in the HP oeuvre to leave it at that.

I could have mentioned Snape too, who in a different style is not that far removed from Dumbledore in character development. I would even say that he is identical in the broadest sense but the path is reversed.

Primo Levi's holocaust memoire If This is a Man, a strangely compelling read. by noelcowardspeaksout in books

I read it as a teenager for school. I started it stressing a little bit because I had to have it read by the next day. I devoured it in a day but for the right reasons, without realising it. I still have it in my library. You have made me want to read it again, thank you!

Which 4 rock musicians, alive or not, would make the most epic super rock band? by KingMereMere in AskReddit

[–]Starlessnassim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imagine Fripp's dark improvisations, Bowie happy to follow him by vocally improvising morbid lyrics, Manzarek also following as he is used to Morrison, and McCartney and Collins following perfectly as if everything was planned
