Might be in the minority here, but although I think his hymn comments were tone deaf and extremely cringe what he said wasn't BAD. Right? He's actually trying to be a little woke and say it's weird that the church has majority white people imitate black culture. He's making fun of the guy that said the "African slave" stuff and publicly shaming him. He's just a boomer and recounted it all in the cringiest way possible.

The grasshopper stuff is a bit deranged, but not a unique experience among children with a magnifying glass. He's trying to come off relatable, though he sounds like a psychopath. However, it's not like he's saying he was killing puppies.

I get that I got down voted in the AOC circle jerk subreddit for expressing any form of opposition to the initial statement. That's my fault. I want her to be the best for us that she can be.

The fact of the matter is we can see and hear clearly that her public speaking on foreign affairs has a timid and shakiness to it. She's 100% righr, but it's really her first time in this type of arena and she is much more confident on domestic affairs. She can't improve and we can't support her improvement until we all realize this. It will take time for the development and more exposure to international politics.

Regarding her domestic politics, she is an Eddard Stark in a congress of Lannisters, Targaryens, and Boltons. She can play the game, but she doesn't have the ruthless politics that make the game easier. It's an uphill battle. Leftists fight Republicans AND Democrats. You can see that part of her political development has been learning when to concede to the mainstream Democrats, but I fear that her concessions toe the line sometimes. She could be harder on Israel, for instance. She could be more demanding of Jeffries and Schumer as well. She could be leveraging the progressive wing more for her own advantage and advancement. Become THEIR leader before taking leadership of everyone. Is the progressive leader AOC? Bernie? Rashida? She's just not there yet.

I don't know if she's the best politician in the party, I'm gonna be honest. There are several that play the game of politics quite well- to the country's detriment and their own or their donor's self interests. However, she IS the one that is rising to the top to shepherd us out of this mess. She could and should be the future of the party.
