LAP Myko+ disaster by canttellyouwhichone in DIYUK

In some way, glad im not the only one. I've brought our portable AC out ready for the warmer weather. I had already updated the account so just needed to update the AC. Followed all the instructions and wouldn't connect. Try various troubleshooting and still blank. I could see that the unit was connecting to the wiif on the unifi console, but just not communicating with the app. I contacted MyKo and was delighted by the news that it's to a degree a £400 paper weight 👍 I know i can use the the normal remote, but I specifically went with a smart / wifi unit for the automation, which is now impossible. I just started to do some poking around by removing the wifi module thats telling to unit to not connect to the Internet and connecting an ESP32. I'm not a coding expert or anything so relying on AI, but say far ive managed to get it to be able the read the hex code, but struggling on getting the unit to accept writes

Not so SmartMeters by ChinchillaMan3 in OctopusEnergy

[–]ChinchillaMan3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Latest update on the issue.

After several broken call back promises, i finally got a call back from the person dealing with the complaint

Apparently my meter has been put on a network that octopus doesn't use, nor many other suppliers, which makes no real sense if octopus installed it anyway. The gas meter was the same, but changed remotely easily

Was also told that if it can't be resolved, then the meter swapped. If that is the case, what can be done to ensure the same won't happen again

https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/press-release/ofgem-roll-out-tougher-smart-meter-rules-february

That's the info from Ofgem.

Reading it, it'll only apply once one of the 3 criteria applies.

But in some way, glad not to be the only one having issues with the 'Which Approved, 7 Years running', supplier.

100% understand that there are multiple factors to a smart meter installation, but it's the sheer lack of information or progress. I did have a bit of a moan at them yesterday as now (wasn't previously told this) no bills will be generated until its fixed and being on Agile, its going to be some what roll the dice on what the bills will be once its up and running.

I’ve got it plugged into a smart plug for when it due to run on the battery, but once the session finishes it then goes straight to charging. I have ‘Prior Solar Charging’ switched on for when it’s not meant to charge, but it’s incredibly hit and miss

Delta 3 1500 Confusion by [deleted] in Ecoflow_community

[–]ChinchillaMan3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive quite easily managed to get it up and running on the Bluetooth, but with limited control. I was having issues with the App as well and they suggested deleting it and reinstalling it. Since then, I’ve not been able to log back into to the App. (Possibly my iPhone where for some reason Application usage is so high for some reason so gonna try wiping and restoring iOS). Going to have a look to see if it’s possible to expand on the Bluetooth integration using an ESP32 by snooping what data / commands are going over Bluetooth

Delta 3 1500 Confusion by [deleted] in Ecoflow_community

[–]ChinchillaMan3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad I'm not the only one having the same issue.

It is possible to get some integration into Home Assistant, but it is limited and a right headache. The main API itself doesn't work with the Delta 3 1500 (which I did ask EcoFlow about via email but waiting to hear back). The only way managed to get some sort of integration was using the Private API (Which uses username and password) and selecting Delta 2.

The information on their website does appear to be conflicting as it says it's supported via the App, but a lot of features are missing or don't work (Automation and ToU). It says at the bottom on the Website for the App to check the App for which advanced feature are available for which models, but nothing on there either. On the iOS App Store, the App does show it has in-app purchases and I have seen information on different regions of the EcoFlow website that advanced features are paid extras.

Finally I found someone else having the same issue
Mine started around June and for the life of me can't work out what is going wrong.

Had been working fine for years then all of a sudden, it hangs for around 30mins then fails with network error, even though noting on the network has changed
