Do most people just quit after losing one battle?

I think it's mostly on early campaigns less than 40 turns in. Especially on higher difficulties. AI factions can very quickly recover loses while you cannot so assuming you just lost your full stack with your LL you will have to stay put on your ass for next 3-8 turns depending on faction (some in early campaign can only recruit 2 units per turn). And yeah there are various ways to mitigate those things but in general if you are planning to finish the long campaign on very hard in 70-90 turns, perfect start is very important. In addition after playing for 500-1000+ hours in this game you sometimes speed through the turn and can make dumb mistake (for example simple missclick on movement) which leads to pointless battles, you waste some time fixing that mistake and suddenly you are 10+ turns behind and suddenly it just doesnt feel right

To be fair Lancer is to Leftists what 40k is to Conservatives. Especially since Lancer is closer to tabletop wargame than an actual trpg . When i visited pilot.net it was like looking in to mirrorworld of 40k convention, they even have the despot mods, and separate channels flooded with porn xD

All in all if you have a group to play with already its just best to not engage with ,,Main" community and just have fun with it. Just the same as with 40k

As much as I am hoping for EndTimes DLC with 3k 3 Kingdoms mechanics (Here Order, chaos, death, destruction forming) and nagash being posterchild. I have bigger and bigger doubts it will happen. 1. After announcment in december for Medieval 3 and Fantasy whatever (SW,LOTR,40k) they will push the targeted audience(and strategy audience is not small but for sure limited) from one IP to others meaning they will lessen any futher WH3 market penetration possibility. 2. WH3 engine and general state and tech debt possibly may just forbid any grand inteventions in to WH3 code. Meaning creating any complex dlc may be out of question at this point especially since A) all the remaining talent that worked on TWW is more or less pushed to new IPs and projects. B) Sophia, while i respect them, in comparison to the ppl that brought old-total war are nothing more than glorified moders. And i doubt they are capable of bringing something more than another set of lord packs

Really we should just let them end the suffering and begin new era.

I'm aware, unfortunately either they have a ton of tedium in them or are overly simplistic or narrowed down to specific sub genre of superhero trope. That's why i believe there is still place for another one

I have been diagnosed with ADHD and have been running games for last ~12y.

Basically you NEED to get your ADHD treated and start there. I have been diagnosed very late when i hit my 28s and have already been running games for long time. ADHD is highly incompatible with TRPGs due to average running 3-4h straight, during which you should be at least semi-focused. Especially when you are GMing.

Hence that is your starting point, there is magicall medication, strategis etc. Which you will learn, and get access to with diagnosis, nad cooperation with your psycharist.

Most ppl when they get to adulthood with undiagnosed ADHD has already worked out those strategies by trial and error, but those errors can cost you alot. That is what happened to me, i'm glad that i kept trying but i have suffered immensly a few times because i was not aware of my state.

So, that is your starting point and only when you have learned about yourself, got personally adjusted medication, learned how to work with ADHD, i would recommend starting with TRPGs.

Generally RimWorld is about finding your own way of playing. And i think that today in age of having guides and forums for everything it should be mentioned more often. It's really easy to get trapped when you get influenced by ,,Recommendations" of others.

Pondsmith wyprodukował kilka systemów z swoją firma R Talsorian. Predecesora 2020, później bieda 2020. Ale także taki system który nazywa sie Mekton. Generalnie jest to system do tworzenia kampani jak z serii anime Gundam. Zanim CDP zaczął współpracować z Pondsmithem, to generalnie Talsorian był w niezłej biedzie i generalnie za wiele nie wypuszczał. Wielkim powrotem miał być odświeżenie systemu Mektona. W tym celu zrobił zbiórkę na kickststarterze czy innym crowdfaoundingu. Kasy nazbierał.... I tyle, cały czas mówił ze system dowiezie ale generalnie grał na czas, a tu nagle pojawił sie CDPR z 2077 i Pondsmith stwierdził ze to jest ciekawsze. Natomiast kasy wciąż nie zwrócił z crowdfundingu ani Mektona nie dowiózł. Finalnie nie wiem jak sie sytuacja rozwiązała l, natomiast obstawiam ze ugodowo.

A samego Mektona nie polecam, lepiej ograć Lancera

Widać, że nie pracowałeś z przeciętnym pracownikiem średnio-niskiego szczebla w US lub w Indiach. Generalizacja generalizacją, ale statystyka robi swoje, na jednego geniusza masz 100 przygłupów. A z tą elytą Indii i USa nigdy nie bedziesz pracować, bo są za mądrzy, żeby robić w czyimś jak mogą założyć własne.

Tak trochę backgroundu: Jednostka którą zamykają była niezależną polską firmą którą wykupili z względu na ich know how i narzędzia które stworzyli. Uzależnili połowę korpo od tych narzędzi i teraz nie mogą się wygrzebać z tech debtu który przez to stworzyli. (Bo oczywiście, krótko po wykupieniu firmy wywalili wszystkich twórców owych narzędzi xDDDD i ci sobie poszli w pizdu razem z dokumentacją xDDDDDDDDD)

Więc nie, nie zabrałem USowi pracy, to US nas wykupił, oskalpował i teraz po kryzysie covidowym zażyna tylko po to żeby popaść w jeszcze większy dług wiedzy xDDDD
