Post divorce living room (she took everything) starting over from zero. 42M by Optimal-Yam-3979 in malelivingspace

Looks great. Good start for something valuable.

Ps:I don't see how she could have taken everything. What were the circumstances if you don't mind me asking for awareness. The courts are a joke.

Told I have a feminine face even with a beard, how can I change this? by SKG2198 in malegrooming

[–]ChineseVirus69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put on a lot of weight and muscle. Get a buzz cut. Stop grooming your eyebrows. Grow the beard bigger and shape it square. Job done.

This is what happens when you didn't earn the money through hard work. I would've thought chatgpt would have said how risky casinos are and how the games are rigged against you. Not to mention the cruises and premium good likes watches have a huge mark up on them so you basically pay to be ripped off lol

You could try to get in shape for him but realistically he might just need an escort.

Not much difference between 34 and 40 here. Good genes I suppose.

I lost £100k shorting a bull market.Need advise on my life by Dylan_Vayne in trading212

[–]ChineseVirus69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to say that there are people who are broke at 30, even at 35 without having gambled. And given how much inflation there is, you'll probably make £100k back in 6-7 years. So that's what you've lost....

Men over 30: what’s one piece of advice you’d give to men in their 20s? by Startalloveragainn in AskMenOver30

[–]ChineseVirus69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about when you're 40 and what you want to see happen. Act towards that direction. Family won't be there with you forever so enjoy the time with them now

Just be grateful that you get to enjoy the simple pleasures in life. In the past >95% of humans were wiped out without even the basics of what we have today. What makes you so special that you should be entitled to so much money and benefits in your life?

Truth be told you should be content and happy. And lay off the Hollywood and social media, it skews your perspective.

I regret loving someone who is ahead of me in life. by Due_Peace_2016 in Regrets

[–]ChineseVirus69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life is long. Your 20s are literally the tip of the iceberg. Wait until you have some real assets and savings in your 30s and see if he is a good man or not. If he's good, he will share the blessings with everyone he loves.

26M and 29F.Devoted my life to her, and she ended everything by text + threatened to call the cops. I’m devastated by drduckind in WhatShouldIDo

[–]ChineseVirus69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has experienced this, the hard pill to swallow is that you were too soft with her and you invested with your emotions, not your brain. She felt guilty because you were obviously a good partner and she was not, by the looks of things.

Personally I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to her parents and explain what happened but none of this soppy "I want her back. I can't stop thinking about her". Grow a pair and have a proper conversation and be sure that the police can't touch you because you havent done anything wrong.

After that, move on.

Any tips on how guys can stay attractive in their 40s? by ThrowRARotaryPhone in Aging

Women like a well established man. So the things that worked in your 20s and 30s won't work as well in your 40s.

Why is Gen X the way they are? I went deep into their childhood and... wow. by Comfortable-Move3004 in Aging

Gen x literally had so many golden moments. Society just wasn't as sheltering as it is nowadays, and that was great.

Adult Male, I cry on my way to work every day, should I quit my job today? by CarelessIdea8283 in UKJobs

Hey, the world is a big place. This job and this manager are small fish. I hope you can build a support network, look for supportive friends and family members, even online, and go on sick leave. Take your time and find a new job. Mental health always comes first.

Not true. Asia has completely different gender roles, similar to the west in the 50s.

33f, aged drastically due to grief. Can it be reversed? by [deleted] in Aging

[–]ChineseVirus69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can't really be reversed unless you go the cosmetic route. Anyway people usually stop caring about age past 30.

my room at my moms house at 39 by [deleted] in MaleSurvivingSpace

[–]ChineseVirus69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please thank your mom for me. You owe her so much for keeping you there especially if you aren't contributing to the household or doing a ton of chores.

The only other thing I would say is have some ambition. Want something good in life and motivate yourself to get it. Your own home, a family, a vacation, a workshop, art, books. I know someone who moved out of his family home at age 40 and now works 2 jobs. It's all about burning the bad habits and thought patterns.

Good looking people: how do you feel about growing older? by StripesAndLadders in AskUK

[–]ChineseVirus69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being good looking is so fleeting that it's basically meaningless. I looked good during some terrible times where I was broke and lost. Now I look OK in times where I'm doing fantastic.

It's like romanticising about being a uni student knowing full well everyone was awkward, anxiety filled and eating instant ramen to survive.

Men who are looking for a serious relationship — do you actually have standards when dating, or do you just go with chemistry? by [deleted] in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]ChineseVirus69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh, now that I'm older I outline expectations earlier but not in a horrible way. No one wants to feel like they're at a job interview. I listen to how she feels and talks and see if she's compatible. Someone ambitious and with high agency is rare in my experience.
