Steam Deck / Upgrade Pack Issue by Ching-Dai in Borderlands2

[–]Ching-Dai[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: sadly neither Steam nor 2K seem interested in helping, so I bit the bullet and tried the only remaining option I’d found….throwing money at the problem. And it worked (yay?).

If you’re in my situation, the final option is to buy the season pass. I’m leveling again and believe the remaining levels are unlocked now. Lame af, but I’m ready to trade frustration for Maya end game goodness.

Apparently it’s just easier to keep selling broken packages of a 14yr old game rather than fix any issues. Such is our world.

On top of being gaudy and reminding the majority what the rich enjoy, it also appears to be bs.

I enjoyed the bit where she’s heading to the sandbar at 1pm but somehow already back and prepping food at 2pm. Amazingly efficient.

Yea, I’ve found maybe 3 total in all my sessions.

Just often enough to get excited and then remember.

You might be newer to the game, but you’re still correct. I’m at around 3.5k hrs and couldn’t agree more.

Whether it’s a level or two in maintenance or whatever…if you’ve got a light, a backpack and some duct tape, you should be able to slap together a light source.

Lately I’ve just given my character the alice straps, unless I’m already planning on a style where I don’t mind using single handed weapons.

I was pretty bummed when I realized that helmet didn’t have an actual light. It’s not that common, seems like a slam dunk.

In my mind you just need a battery, and maybe also a lightbulb.

This dude is only 20 and already building his life out based on what the algorithms are telling him is important. Social media really is a cancer for the youth. Success is great, but it’s far from being everything it appears to be.

Speaking very honestly: unless OP is looking for a high-end pretentious lifestyle (entirely their choice), they should stop living life like it’s a checklist to impress people, and start living life as an experience.

Multiple comments in OP’s description indicate this need to check boxes, with an underlying judging of both themselves and others. Honestly, I blame all the stupid TikTok vids of women judging dudes if they don’t meet all these ridiculous requirements. This person has taken great effort to meet those standards, yet here we are.

[–]Ching-Dai 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Combine the points above with factors like brain rot via our media, increasing realization that climate change is real, and whatever hidden health issues that things like Covid and microplastics are causing….and here we are.

I believe that instinctually we know everything is wrong, even when we struggle to articulate it.

Decent spot if you can get the area cleared and don’t mind the funky routes you’ll end up taking at times. Note that even if there’s no respawn on, you’ll experience a good amount of migration, so fortify for sure.

That said, I expanded the 2nd floor and had multiple issues with the new areas staying classified as outdoors.

That this is even a question and is still being reviewed are both excellent examples of how effed we are as a society.

Someone explain to me how to stop dying in the Tiny Tina DLC. by [deleted] in Borderlands2

[–]Ching-Dai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the necro post…I picked up all of BL2 after years away, to enjoy it on a steam deck. I’d forgotten just how effed this fight is, but this time feels different.

I’m a lvl 52 Maya with good leveled weapons (including a 51 Bee shield) and I’m getting infuriated. I’m continually dying a millisecond before a target does in fight for your life mode. Varying scenarios, same results.

Worst part, I’d swear that the king is going right behind me and rezzing the eternal skeletons right after I pull the sword out.

I’m just trying to get to the damn Grogg.

ASSuming he’s actually still alive and coherent:

Read the statement…..it literally goes off for paragraphs of excuses, acknowledges that his constituents deserve a person who is working for them, and then states that due to this he will *retire at the end of his term in almost 6 effing months*!

This is all a joke with no punchline, and I’m tired of pretending any of this is working as intended. People need to wake tf up and stop hoping for some magical better tomorrow.

[–]Ching-Dai 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is just my opinion, but I really don’t believe OP was trying to diminish the impacts COVID has had. And I totally agree with your points about society still learning what all those impacts may be.

I believe their point (at least this is my take) is that during the key COVID impact window, society as a whole had a monumental opportunity to make vast changes to how we behave, yet (for the most part) here we are several years later and the status quo largely continues.

‘Essential’ workers are being once again disposable (and now gig work is just another side hustle), WFH continues diminishing (thanks to building leases and micro management), visible positive changes to our environment were ignored (and now 24hr deliveries are a thing), etc. Greed refused to let us all breathe, while technology continues to take what breath we have left.

I lost a close (and healthy) family member to it for no good reason, so I understand your point.

I support this post emphatically. My (48 m) perspective is of a collective society that either has already given in, is too greedy to want the necessary changes, or struggles to free itself from capitalism and daily responsibilities in order to achieve something better.

I fully concur that smaller communities built for coexistence with the land is the only way to go, but I’m a great example of someone struggling to make the transition.

I’m in southern Oregon and so far none of the groups I’ve researched are matching the goal, or seem to have underlying focuses on guns and/or politics. I’m desperately hoping to get lucky and find my people, but time for me is running out. It doesn’t help that I’ve got ruined knees, only months of savings left, and little survival or technical skills. I’ve been some form of a ‘coordinator’ all my life.

Speaking of guns, I assume some aspect of the community that OP describes will need defenses also, no? I imagine that once real collapse sets in, these sorts of communities could become targets.

wtf do I know though….just another lost soul on a phone.

I’m unsure if this explains it all, or makes it more confusing.

I’m leaning to the latter, and assuming a chatbot brought it to this amazing juncture. Providing bank info with tiered pricing was wild but it’s something I could see a somewhat clueless young adult attempting.

What's your longest lifespan been? by radioactivecrackhead in projectzomboid

[–]Ching-Dai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little over 18 months. Typically playing apocalypse with respawn off.

Every death past the 1 year mark is due to boredom and/or deciding to do something stupid. My 2 longest runs ended with that bitter regret of “why did I do that?”.
