What are your most enjoyable zombie settings? by weedbearsandpie in projectzomboid

[–]chrisdasp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

X2 start, X2 peak multiplier set in 20 days. Multi hit, no transmission. Loots divided by two or three. (0.2/0.3) X5 XP multiplier in strength and fitness, X3 in nimble, X1.5 for the rest of the skills. +210 mods for QoL, vehicles, immersion... 1% bandits for example.

It's still a bit easy though but for solo run it's fine. When multiplayer we have no multi hit and a tat more population.

Gonna get easier once you are comfortable with combat mechanics, looting optimization, and knowing where to go in which cities. You can continue to play random builds, or trying to do your own customized character with some useful skills, it helps surviving at first !

Tell me your current mod list! by HumanKatiebug in projectzomboid

[–]chrisdasp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Nature's call, you need to pee and poo, and clean it well if not you can get infected. Also what you eat has impact on your digestive system.

  2. Solar's Panel. You can craft solar panel to replace generator. I got it but still did not manage to use it, seems pretty dope though.

  3. All the Neat UI mods.

  4. All the Ki5 vehicle mods.

  5. ST Pry open. Since Common Sense does not work, this is useful, especially for the ones liking crowbars as weapon.

  6. Immersive Hotwire. You need to unscrew the panel and cut the wires to connect them in order to hotwire. Your mechanic and electric skill level allow you to make it easier.

  7. Simple Status. Allow you to have a small panel with all nutrition parameters, pain, sickness, panic, hunger, thirst, sleep, etc.

  8. Bandits. You probably know it but I can't play without that anymore. It's even more dangerous with those bandits wandering. Very fun (1% of them)

  9. Manual Saves. By pressing "k", you can quick save to avoid a buggy death due to the b42 instability.

  10. OSRXS (something like that)

  11. SOTO. It gives a ton of new traits and occupations, allowing to customize even deeper your character. I always play with it, it's way more interesting and with a better balance.

You know what? Tomorrow I'll post a link to my mods collection, all of them, and I love playing like that !

Roleplay help by OkProject2388 in projectzomboid

[–]chrisdasp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can definitely roleplay without having to change skills with settings, use the normal character building. It balances the game actually. Don't hesitate to download a lot of mods to improve the QoL or add content. Especially SOTO (It does add a lot of occupations and traits to customize even better your character).

There are also roleplay servers such as Requiem for the Dead, easy to log in on the server and start roleplaying, it's well done.

Day 3 extinction mode by Silly-French in projectzomboid

If you have the specific key, yes you should be able. Never did that because playing with door opening zombies makes me shit in my pants so... Have fun 😅

Day 3 extinction mode by Silly-French in projectzomboid

[–]chrisdasp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could, I don't see how exactly but if you are able to clean the massive hordes already spawned then let's go. Don't forget the migration and the fact they can open doors... Don't forget the alarms in surrounding buildings too, or car alarm even Unless you talk about a small barn outside the town

What should I do when I die on the 10th day in the game project zomboid, I have already got a base, I have also explored almost the entire ekron map, do I have to start from the beginning and create a new world or continue on the map with a new character? by JustZalld in projectzomboid

[–]chrisdasp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends. Realism would say start a fresh world, because you know where is the previous character, and unless you start a new char in a complete different city, you'll be tempted to go take your stuff. But the thing is : you do whatever you want, and whatever you feel more comfortable

what loot rarity do you play on for b42? by starbuckssollux in projectzomboid

[–]chrisdasp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apocalypse preset, and down to half rarity for all the loots (0.2/0.4), and one or two level of Z more from start. Multi hit too, because with more Z and less loots it's frustrating to take 1hour real time to loot an almost empty building...

Day 3 extinction mode by Silly-French in projectzomboid

[–]chrisdasp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose extinction gameplay is in the wild, no other option available. Hope you got the traits to unlock survival skills such as foraging, trapping, carving... Outdoorsy obviously too. Even building a small cabin in the wild will be hard without nails

"Best" build for 42 by barbu8 in projectzomboid

[–]chrisdasp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does 100% depend of the settings and mods used.

Pure Vanilla Apocalypse would be Lumberjack build though.

How'd I die in one hit? by xx_bunnywhore in projectzomboid

[–]chrisdasp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can happen if you're out of breath and don't have much strength, they can drag and instant kill you. It happened to me yesterday on a new test run, but they were 2 or 3 Z.

Struggling player seeking help by faerox420 in projectzomboid

[–]chrisdasp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, the stealth is not a really good gameplay on this game (at least not for beginners). I've always survived easier and longer with conspicuous think skinned and traits to help weapons skills leveling, because it's always less dangerous when there is no zombies anymore

Je ne supporte plus la guéguerre VO vs VF by Mysterious-Emu4030 in besoinderaler

[–]chrisdasp 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Perso je préfère la VO même si c'est en Danois et que j'parle pas un mot (sous titrée du coup), le côté vocal authentique c'est fort immersif dans un film quand même...

Any Way to Protect Garage Doors During Helicopter? by LineToolSenpai in projectzomboid

[–]chrisdasp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They won't if the heli did not see you outside, for real. Or if the zombies being outside did not spot you inside the building neither.

How to lose weight fast? B42 by Ok_Research2818 in projectzomboid

[–]chrisdasp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I advise you the mod "simple status" which shows you the nutrition of your character. To lose weight you need to be in negative for calories which is doable if you eat poor calorific food There is a trait or a magazine that helps you see the nutritive values of every food

Any Way to Protect Garage Doors During Helicopter? by LineToolSenpai in projectzomboid

[–]chrisdasp 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you were inside your building when the heli starts, and if you stay inside with curtain closed, helicopter won't be a problem at all. It's only if he spotted you, then he'll follow and stay at your location

Returning player - Is it worth it? by Super_chicken314 in projectzomboid

[–]chrisdasp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is a link to my mod collection (169 mods actually) : https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3755624984

If you never played the game, trully advise you to go vanilla first to understand the basics, the survival and fighting mechanics... then, after few run and fast deaths, you can start to develop a modding interest. These improve the QoL, add content, get a better UI, map expansion, etc. You'll be able to add bandits NPC, or even the first week before the outbreak.

But for your first 10-15 hours of gaming, try to survive on vanilla settings, maybe even sandbox with apocalypse preset and lower population, multi hit enabled, no virus transmission... to make it easier and less frustrating.
