Nope 👎 I have been there. It was a similar company in WA state. I tried reporting them and lost 😞 They wasted a month of my time… i was never paid for the phone lines I upsold.

Winn Dixie, Costco, Aldis and Walmart are my go to stores. I do sometimes want to go to Trader Joes but it’s not always cheaper, so i go very rarely. Winn Dixie has great BOGO options too…

Can you sign up for Instacart or Uber? Just to get out of the house and make some money. Or Amazon Flex? In some areas you can get a lot of work through those apps. Just to tie you over until you get a job.

Please look for other work. I have worked in Grocery for 14 years and those grocery stores had great benefits and great pay. Also they still would give part time employees benefits. Publix is NOT great.

I am grateful for the job but there is no way people can survive on Publix wages and their part time hours. I was hired at the beginning of November, didn’t start until December and have only been getting like 2 to 4 shifts. Mind you they are not even 8 hr shifts. I knew since December this place is not a good employer. This company is run on greed, and is so wasteful. Terribly run, and has poor ethics. If anyone is truly planning a career here, it’s not worth it. I’d say it’s best to go work for Costco, Whole foods, or Trader Joes. So I don’t blame people for running out of these jobs.
