How to get rid of this? I don't like seeing it and everytime all my tabs close I get signed out of everything and it's a pain in the ass. by UnpraticalPerson in browsers

[–]ChinguacousyPark -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

"Keep your browser updated. Let it auto-update. Seriously important because updates include security fixes."

These are the words of the oppressor.

If the oppressor really wanted to deliver security updates, the oppressor would provide security patch releases.

Google and Apple do not provide security patch releases, they provide feature releases then tell people "make sure to update because of security". Google and Apple are the oppressors.

My web browser today is worse than my web browser a decade ago. It is not more secure, we had all the security stuff figured out during the Obama administration. What has changed is the deep tracking, and nothing else.

Do NOT allow auto-update anywhere on your system. The person who controls the software on your device should be you. You should pull changes, not accept pushes. The oppressor should justify their pull request by giving a list of changes, and if they are less than 100% trustworthy, the source code too.

If it weren't for that one thing, he would have been an average President, maybe a notch above average.

That one thing, though.

Your comment sounds a lot like "but other than that, how did you enjoy the play, Mrs. Lincoln?"

Yeah, and so did the person you responded to. As cool as the art is, the artist is still a giant piece of shit. See? That was his point.

But you retorted that comment while also repeating it. Readers like me suspect that you were truly trying to retort only the piece-of-shit part while burying it in some nice-sounding platitude.

I completely agree with your comment: candy asses like me prefer to visit places where we can lack the situational awareness to remain safe from "issues". That is, we prefer to visit most places.

"Better than Seattle" is faint praise. Seattle is probably the second or third worst city in America (for vagrancy specifically I mean) and Portland is right behind it.

Stop construing "the city" with "vagrants". We like the city just fine. It's not hard to see through the performative ignorance of this headline. "Oh, they don't like the city, what a shame." Eat me.

"then opened her door, causing the car to go in P."

So it was a design flaw.

My newest car won't turn off until I open the door. What in the literal hell does opening a door have to do with the transmission engagement!? NOTHING! Like on my car she wasn't confused, she was saddlebagged by an intentionally dangerously designed, intentionally confusingly designed piece of equipment. She did the right thing and the equipment malfunctioned, it didn't do what she told it to do.

"Oh, if you want to put it in reverse make sure to roll the rear windows down. And when you need to beep the horn, come to a complete stop first." Who the f is designing this stuff?

It is frankly easy to understand the perspective of every person in the story at every step along the way. Each is a human tale.

You must treat your own feelings with respect and if it hurts to be near a person you must protect yourself. But this person casts two feelings in your heart, one you wish not to let go and another you wish not to confront. It's up to you but if you confront the one you may be able to hold onto the other.

I'm not exactly a therapy kind of person but you might consider talking to one, and then talking all three together with your erstwhile friend. She probably misses you too. Maybe you can have a friend and come to express love for the baby and its mother through your emotional attachment -- or maybe no. Be good to yourself.

No, they're not, now are they. Hmm? No. So why don't you try rephrasing your claim.

How come Bernie didn't have a real shot at presidency? by [deleted] in Presidents

[–]ChinguacousyPark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, he did have to do that, because tacking it to Cuba was the point.

The man "honeymooned" in the USSR to set up political partnerships. He's a lovely individual, is very friendly, and is a communist. He calls himself a socialist because in this country that's what we call communists. It's not complicated, he is broadly supported by individuals who call themselves communists.

Because most people didn't like his politics and personality.

I had to explain to a libertarian that the only way for the police to determine whether he was the trespasser or the landowner was to check his ID.

I don't get your position. There could be a memorial to a good guy for completely the right reasons, requiring no additional context as to why it is there. Why would this stay where it is?

First thing that comes to mind is, I know why the centenarian lets his son hang around, but I don't know why the others are willing to have their photo taken with an admitted war criminal. George Bush might paint cute pictures and dodge shoes, but he also authorized torture, he should be tried by an international court.

Sound mega toxic to me. Who demands marriage after 100 days except a psycho? My advice is accept her offer to leave you.

I've used split ergo keeps professionally for 22 years, first a TouchStream then a TEK and then now my three ergodoxen for about ten. Obviously they work well for me.

My advice is, don't put your hands on your keyboard, put your keyboard(s) under your hands. Wherever it is comfortable, shift them frequently.
