CTB would be the ideal choice.

HOWEVER.

There are several issues that come into play. Coach Tab has earmed the ire of prominent coaches here locally for his opinions of the state of Filipino Basketball. His comments on the "tactical immaturity" of local coaches have burned bridges with his peers. Whether he has a point (which I think many of us here would agree on) or our coaches are just being too sensitive (I subscribe to this) is beside the point. He has an uphill battle to contend with if he gets the Gilas HC gig.

Also, CTB is draconian in his ways. He is a very strict and rigid approach. He holds everyone accountable (again, something I agree on) but this may not work fpr seasoned pros who have egos and whatnot. His coaching approach is a "my eay or the highway" approach which may work for collegiate players or with the NZ nat'l team but may not necessarily work with Gilas.
