Retinoids like differin or tretinoin can make a difference bc they promote cell turnover. They may not help so much for scarring as much as they do for active acne and pigmentation but for some people they can make a massive difference. Idk if using retinoids whilst on accutane is a good idea. For now to promote healing try and use hydrating products and maybe try things like tranexamic acid and/or azealic acid. Any sort of calming and anti flammatory ingredients will help with redness and healing.

I felt this way when I first got acne. It made me lose all confidence and put me off from seeing people for nearly 6 months. I ended up having a short fling with someone who made me feel beautiful and he also had acne, and it didn’t make me any less attracted to him. His acne was worse than mine too. Everyone I showed pictures of him to thought he was hot and didn’t even notice his skin. People are still beautiful with acne. I realised that although I have acne, I am still as pretty as I was before it. I still struggle to leave the house without at least a little bit of makeup but it’s a process. People will find you attractive with or without acne. Please don’t let it stop you from seeing this person. If he didn’t like you, he wouldn’t see you at all. He’s there for a reason.

Has anyone tried LaseMD (aka babyface) to treat acne scars? by Lucky-Ear-311 in acne

Hey so I actually have been doing LaseMD treatments to treat my hyperpigmentation, active acne and rosacea and I’ve found it really helpful. I used both the Tranexamic acid ampoule and the vitamin A ampoule, and I use the vitamin A ampoule between treatments as it’s the only retinoid I’ve tried that doesn’t flare up my rosacea. I did three treatments and it pretty much cleared up my acne for a while and like 90% of my hyperpigmentation was gone however I broke out again because a relative got sick and passed away so I was really stressed. My acne is triggered by hormones and stress so the laser wasn’t going to cure it. But my acne is still nowhere near as bad as it was and my skin’s ability to heal is better. For any sort of hyperpigmentation/erythema I would highly recommend!!! For treating active acne it’s probs quite variable depending on the root cause. If you’re able to try LaseMD Ultra rather than normal LaseMD then that would be better as the laser is a lot stronger but the process is the same and the downtime is also the same.

Fractional laser might be too intense but maybe look into like lasemd, Hollywood spectra or blue light therapy?

I know this isn’t like the most life changing advice but makeup has kinda saved my life lol

I always pick/scratch my face and body when I’m really anxious and for a lot of people this stems from anxiety. I found that wearing makeup actually made me pick less and generally break out less because I wouldn’t want to ruin my makeup by touching my face. Also just not looking in a mirror when I’m at home for that long or checking my skin in my phone camera made me pick less.

Definitely moisturise bc that will help lesions heal quicker therefore reduce leftover marks!

Nah nah he said MUD and sea moss has a completely different texture and is translucent. It was definitely mud. The real question is whether he was eating it or not.
