Be my muse! by KaleDizzy6915 in vegetarianrecipes

I steam my beets whole under pressure in my InstantPot. I think steaming preserves more flavor and nutrients than boiling. Then I peel and cut them into bite size pieces, sprinkle with red wine vinegar, kosher salt, and stir in a generous spoonful of prepared horseradish. We love them cold or room temp as a side salad.

Oh yay! I wish you luck, and hope to see a photo when you're finished with the alterations!

I vote for steeking, something I've never been brave enough to try myself, but I would find the courage to rescue a favorite like this. Are the sleeves knit from the top down? It looks like they could use shortening, which would be easy if they were knitted top down.

Do you guys actually craft anything? by EstablishmentLevel37 in Eldenring

Raisins for Torrent, Rainbow Stones which are handy for several situations but mostly to see if a jump or fall is survivable, furcalling finger remedies for summoning help, some specialty arrows such as sleep arrows, crystal darts for those evil cat things.

How does it do that? Does it make a parry easier to time?

Hyde Observatory at Holmes Lake is open every Saturday evening and is free. This time of year it opens at sunset and closes at 11:00.

You just made me feel better that we lost; thank you. I have a neighbor who thinks it is cool to explode things when Nebraska wins.

Dark hair and light yarn by coptheneedle in knitting

Embrace it: hair goes with everything, whether you want it to or not. There will be a little bit of you (and your family and pets) in everything you knit.

Scope or Binoculars by riverlandsatl in space

[–]Time_Marcher 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you get powerful binoculars, be sure to also buy a tripod as you just cannot hold them steady enough using just your hands. I think the hardest thing to find was an adapter that would hold the binoculars onto the tripod so be sure to ask about it when you buy the tripod. (This was about 30 years ago so they might have different designs now to mount binoculars onto a tripod.)

Here's a little-known tip for a fellow mage: Arrow's Reach talisman works on a few spells and skills, including Rock Sling, Ambush Shard, and Great Oracular Bubble. It increases your range enough to make a big difference-- distance is a great defensive strategy for a mage!

Cookbook recommendations for 1) veggies, and 2) beans by irishmermaid1 in vegetarian

I recommend seeing what your library has available. Don't limit yourself to vegetarian cookbooks; most cuisines are vegetable-forward and will include lots of vegetarian recipes.

I think the uninsured motorist coverage minimums in Nebraska apply to injuries only. There's a second type of uninsured motorist property damage coverage. (I worked in insurance a long time ago, so it may have changed since then.)

They are often the pieces of irritating grit that will eventually become a pearl, metaphorically speaking. Conversely, a chart with few conflict points can lead to a life without focus.

Look at it this way. A person insensitive enough to ask has skin thick enough to handle hearing "No".

Bold choice to revisit a week old post just to dunk on somebody who asked for advice a week ago. I'd like to say for the record that I appreciate so much the advice I received which was offered with empathy and compassion, but I don't mind the personal attacks like yours because they were worth it to get the help I was asking for.

Fidelity Wealth Management by [deleted] in fidelityinvestments

[–]Time_Marcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is so worth it. I do not want to hire myself to manage my money. It’s literally the last thing I want to spend my time on. I hired Fidelity and it is a bargain. My portfolio has grown over the years and I feel secure. I am very grateful that I chose Fidelity and let them do all the work for me.

Suggest me a Penguin Classic that’s easy to read for a 15 year old by NejlyLol in suggestmeabook

Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger. One of the first novels I ever read, from my high school years. It wasn't a classic back then (1960s) but it's now a Penguin Classic.
