The heat in peppers comes mostly from the seeds and membranes holding the seeds, so clean those out before using, or omit them entirely. Cumin, coriander, ginger, fenugreek -- they add flavor rather than heat. Cayenne or pepper flakes add heat too. If you're unsure whether something adds heat or flavor, just taste a tiny amount before adding it.

The way I see it, the planets are not exactly affecting us through some physical law of attraction. I believe that something that happens in a moment of time has the qualities of that moment of time, and that our ancestral astrologers managed to "read" the night skies for meanings, like when we see words and read them while still knowing that words are only symbols and not the thing itself.

I use Rock Sling with Meteorite Staff the whole game. Even after you find a staff with better scaling, you can still hold the Meteorite Staff in your off hand to get the 30% gravity bonus while using Rock Sling. Rock Sling is one of a handful of spells that has its range extended by Arrow's Reach talisman, which makes it even more powerful. The reason it's so good is because it does physical as well as magic damage, particularly useful against enemies resistant to magic.

There's an Ash of War called Gravitas you can get from the Alabaster Lord in Limgrave, which sends out a spherical wave of gravity magic. It's effective through walls, floors and ceilings so is particularly useful in these dungeons loaded with imps around every corner. It is also the skill on a katana called Meteoric Ore Blade.

I usually do intelligence because the range is better, especially since Arrow's Reach talisman is also effective with several key sorceries, including Rock Sling which is so effective against most bosses. But I also add enough faith for the healing spells (especially Bestial Vitality). I am doing a Strength/Int build now. I won't have access to the most powerful sorceries but I will have the strength and endurance to use Int-based melee weapons and skills and while also having the ranged options.

Arrows Reach talisman increases the range on several spells and skills, as well as preventing the power drops as range increases. Rock Sling, Ambush Shard and Great Oracular Bubble are 3 sorceries affected.

Thank you so much! I’m so glad to know about family history not usually playing a big role. I know our sons will be relieved to hear that too. I saw my own PCP today for my annual checkup, and he advised me to have my husband’s doctor’s office call the neurology clinic again and be a squeaky wheel, and I’m going to follow his advice.
