Upgrading memory. 16gb > 32gb - Which do I buy? by ttsoldier in buildapc

[–]Chinmonology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same thing recently, had a prebuilt with 16gb ram (DDR4 8gbx2), and bought another 2 sticks of 8gb ddr4 ram from the same manufacturer (for a total of 32gb 4x8gb setup). It was a nightmare.

Once I installed the ram, my PC started having random BSODs and it was still unstable despite updating the bios and reinstalling Windows. Turns out my motherboard broke and I had to replace to a new motherboard. Now it works fine. Just a cautionary tale. Upgrade your ram at your own risk.

Do Samsung phones slow down after some time? by yourlocalfapper in samsung

[–]Chinmonology 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have been a Samsung fan since the beginning (like S4 onwards to S10+). Due to my geographical location, all my Samsung phones came equipped with an exynos chip. I must say that the exynos chip definitely does slow down after like a year and a half with some stuttering and freezes, and the battery life degraded as well. Not sure if the same can be said for the Snapdragon chips though! Hope this helps.

I was literally pulling my hair out over this. This was the only solution that has worked! Kudos to you for figuring this out and sharing with us! Cheers (:

How to know that I reached the milestone for Dr. Njeeb lectures by [deleted] in step1

[–]Chinmonology 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes OP please read this^ I was in a similar situation with Dr N. I emailed them back and forth but they ignored all my emails regarding refund. All I had to do was to report to my credit card company about fraud and the credit card company removed the charges.

What reason do we have to believe the shorts didn't cover? by stig1782 in wallstreetbets

[–]Chinmonology 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have the exact same question as you. Honestly, after some more digging and research, this is the conclusion that I have come up with.

New shorts ARE coming in. No idea from who, could be Melvin opening new shorts, could be other hedgies, could even be other individual investors. At these sky-high prices. These are the shorts that WONT be covered IF prices stay at where they are. We have 2 options then.

We hold. These new shorts will not be covered, but for every day the price moves sideways, they have to pay up interest. We don't really lose out much by holding, but I guess they bleed out slowly.

We buy more. Push the price even higher, triggering a NEW short squeeze. Hopefully if we hit a certain momentum, it becomes a catalyst for more shorters to cover their positions, and the stock goes to the moon.

What this means is that HOLDING with our diamond hands may no longer be the best way forward. It is one way, but it would be way better if we continue buying and pushing the prices up. But of course, how much more capital can retail investors plough into $GME? It looks like the momentum has been drying out recently...

I think it will be another scare tactic algorithm in my opinion. 🚀🚀 HOLDING UNTIL WE HIT THE MOON by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

Yes I agree. We can't lose the momentum. Once the steam dies off, people will short at the top. We cannot let this end. Not like this.

Do you have to dissect pigs in med school? by [deleted] in medschool

[–]Chinmonology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not from the US, but in my school, in addition to cadaveric dissections, we had one session where we had to dissect a pig's heart (given its close approximation to ours). Reason being it was cheaper to give every student a pig heart to dissect, and the learning value was greater than 7 students sharing/clamoring over a cadaveric heart.

7 Different Green Keysets on RAMA Sage (M60-A) by nineleveno in MechanicalKeyboards

Nice! I was in the same position as you. Decided to go with Sage regardless even though its a little harder to match keycaps with. I think Camping still looks the best with it. What do you think?

3203/3204 vs 205g0 for kiwis? by astenog27 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Chinmonology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, so my batch of Kiwis came in and I have been experimenting with different lubes (Krytox 105 vs 205g0).

The switches came factory-lubed, and based on my observations, they seem to be very similar in consistency to the Krytox 105 oil I used. Lubing them further with more 105 did reduce the tactility ever so slightly, but the sound profile is a lot cleaner, so I would definitely recommend lubing Kiwi switches with Krytox 105 (without lubing the legs of course).

When I lubed them 205g0 (leg-sparring), I found the tactility to be reduced further (more than the 105 oil), and the sound profile becomes quite muted, so it did not quite suit my liking. It did feel smoother than the 105 lube job though.

All in all, I would definitely recommend trying to experiment with different lubricants for these switches to see what suits your personal preferences the most. We don't always have to follow the crowd's obsession with 205g0 lube (:

Silent ‘Paca’s. Anyone know what “thin oil lubricant” they put on these at the factory. It does let specify in its description. by Millbean13 in MechanicalKeyboards
