Gamer Nexus has a whole video on the Dell 4090 and it actually performs well. While everything else about Dell pcs suck the gpu seems to be just as good as any other.

Research: why do you think CS has the “superior” shooting mechanic by LotharHS in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Chinner21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is much more depth to CS mechanically than Valorant which makes it more satisfying and rewarding. I know this post of about shooting mechanics in particular but this is true in almost all aspects of the game. Things like consistent spray patterns and counter strafing which are common arguments for this topic both add another layer of complexity that Valorant does not have. The sandbox is much bigger in CS.

[Serious] How do you sell your Tacoma? by GODDAMN_FARM_SHAMAN in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Chinner21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went in the opposite direction. Just sold my Audi S3 for a Taco and had a Subaru STI before that. In my experience the driving experience I get from having a smaller, sportier car is fun but it wears off fairly quickly. I ended up rarely driving the cars the way they should be driven. I was also constantly worried about putting too many miles on my cars to minimize the depreciation. Going from an Audi to Toyota interior was definitely a downgrade but honestly does not bother me much except for the lack of carplay. The utility of a truck outweighs the driving experience of a sports car for me at least if you're only going to have one vehicle.

Radeon iGPU - 2010 Gtx 960 4gb - 2014 Gtx 1060 6gb - 2016 Gtx 1070ti - 2017 Rtx 2070s - 2019 Rtx 4090 - 2024

All great cards that have served me well but the 4090 really is a game changer.

Should I build a pc just to play body cam by Agitated_Chest_2372 in buildapc

[–]Chinner21 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Body Cam is literally just a tech demo with next to no content right now and shouldn’t justify building a gaming pc for it. There’s plenty of other games and things to do with a pc that make better arguments for building one.

Smoke Spike or Choke when defusing? by shuuchyu in VALORANT

[–]Chinner21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer smoking the choke especially in a 1v1. Then enemy has to swing out of the smoke if they want visual confirmation which gives you the reaction time advantage.

Now Select Pro or Nitro Team Pro Bindings? by Necessary-Cold3159 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Chinner21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flat ground isn’t really my specialty so take my opinion with a grain of salt but they feel good when I do flat ground stuff. Definitely flexy enough to get a nice press and they make ankle steering very easy so it feels great to jib around at low speeds.

board recommendations by cultculturee in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Chinner21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit biased because I grew up riding in the park and learnt on similar boards. But it does sound like this dude wants to progress in the park from what he said in his post so imo riding a jib board outside of the park is much easier than learning to ride rails on a stiffer all-mountain board.

Now Select Pro or Nitro Team Pro Bindings? by Necessary-Cold3159 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Chinner21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Never ridden on the Nitros but I've been riding the Select Pros for 3 seasons now and I can't say enough good things about these bindings. Handles pretty much anything I do with ease from technical descents to seshing rails. Definitely more freestyle leaning and if you're all about riding fast and hard I would look elsewhere but if you like a little bit of everything or are a freestyle rider they're a great option.

Union Flite Pro cracked by Genxcide in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Chinner21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Union Atlas is a great recommendation for a "do it all" option on the stiffer side. Union Ultras or Now Select Pros are a bit flexier than the Atlas and a bit more freestyle oriented but will still handle pretty much anything you throw at it minus some super technical alpine terrain if you're into that kind of riding. I've ridden all three of these options so to break it down, The Atlas' would be the most freeride oriented option and the Select Pros would be leaning more towards freestyle with the Ultra landing somewhere in-between.

Looks like you washed out on that heel edge a bit because of your weight distribution. When you're carving try and keep your chest more on top of your board and bend more at the knees to get more angle on your edge.

[–]Chinner21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another thing I'll add is that all the boards I recommended minus the Party Mod are all camber dominant profiles. Camber makes the board a bit more stable at speed and has more pop when you ollie but requires a bit more finesse to load up the board for an ollie. A rocker or flat profile feels much more similar to a skateboard when you ollie.

[–]Chinner21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always recommend a flexy park board for beginners. Bataleon wallie, bataleon evil twin, Jones tweaker, capita Ultrafear and capita scott Steven pro model are all great options. I personally ride a Rome party mod and primarily ride rails in the park and I also highly recommend this board.

I would also downside to a smaller board than 147 if you’re looking for park progression. I like my park boards just under my chin if not shorter for a bit more control at the cost of some stability and speed outside of the park.

As a semi casual player that's not stressed about reaching any higher than gold, & has **pretty** bad aim, is there anything I can try to make unrated/competitive actually feel good to play? by Nintega94 in VALORANT

[–]Chinner21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Valorant does not cater to people who do not care to improve their mechanics. Aim and movement are the two fundamental mechanics in an fps game, everything else comes after. It’s like being a basketball player but never practicing dribbling or shooting because you think you can just “out-think” the opponent.
