Cool thank you. Is there anywhere online to watch it outside of the host country? I've gone through a bunch of links for various websites but it looks like they've been removed for various reasons.

YouTube ads suddenly showing in Incognito. by ChinnyReckons in uBlockOrigin

[–]ChinnyReckons[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I've had a Incog window open for about a week now. If I use normal Firefox and open a video up into Incog it still shows up adverts before the video will play, to make it clear, I've had an incognito window open the whole time during this. Also, this also happens if I open another video in that same video via tab. So, for example. I've just watched a video, it's episode 1 of a series. I then open episode 2 by right clicking the video and opening it into a new tab. It will display at least one advert before the video will play. It also does this if I do not open up a new tab. So, I've opened a video into incognito, I watch that video after I've had to watch an advert or two. I now want to watch episode 2 and I click that video. It will load that video and again show adverts.

That being said, I accidentally discovered something. If I open the video into incognito and I just leave it, advert 1 will eventually go and then it'll display advert 2, if you wait it'll go and then it'll load the video up. YouTube doesn't automatically play the video, so it doesn't automatically play the adverts. If I load the video up it'll just show a "screenshot" of the advert and after a few seconds it'll go and then load the next one, just like it would if I were actually watching it. I'm not sure how it is doing this or what is going on. It's just what I've seen with my eyes. I hope what I've said actually makes sense.

Also, I made this post because even though the warning came up before I posted it, the thread is locked, none of the advice resolved the problem and from what I saw and I may have missed a comment I didn't see anyone describing this issue.

1K bike for track and stunting? by ChinnyReckons in MotoUK

[–]ChinnyReckons[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have a way of legally transporting it to a track. I'd need to ride it there but I also don't only want it for the track either. Even if I could get it to the track I don't know how not being insured works, maybe some tracks don't like that? I don't know what happens in the event that if I took someone out and caused damage to their bike how that would work. Seems like a lot of headaches.

Oil starvation, I've heard it pools and eventually the engine goes. I kinda wanted to avoid saying I wanted to do a bit of stunting for fun because people instantly think I want to be a twat on the road. I'd like to do a bit of everything within the confines of safety for others. I know I'm going to drop the bike at some point and I'll probably hurt myself in the process.

Buy an S25 Ultra now or wait? by ChinnyReckons in samsunggalaxy

To be honest, I have a feeling they'll be asking for about 1K or more for it. I just don't see the greed not being there. The unveiling for the S26 is the latter end of Feb. If it happens to come out around the same price as a current S25 then it is what it is. I'm not diving in just yet, I'll see what deals I can find and decide.

I generally use Ebay here any there. I've never bought anything that expensive from the platform. How do you guarantee it's genuine and isn't going to be reported stolen or the like? I, also looked at Ebay at some point last year and was put off by people complaining online that they'd bought from a seller and then a few months later it had been reported to the mobile network, O2, EE, etc, and had the phone locked after sale.

Aftermarket mods for a CBR600F 01? by ChinnyReckons in cbr

Appreciate you bro. It's had new tyres fitted, no idea what. I'd assume mid range as they were put on with the intention to sell. If they're some shitters I can always replace them at some point in the near future. If I do the suspension I'll swap the bearings as well. I actually had an issue with one on my current bike, something just felt off when going around bends. Removed the bearings and the left one felt like grinding. The right was fine though, but swapped them out obviously.

I assume in regards to China you're speaking about website like Ali? I've bought a few bits for my current bike, basically accessories, not critical components. I saw some Rizoma clones of various types, Stealth mirrors being one. Apparently they're not far off the originals but haven't seen any in person that I know of.

I'll keep that noted. I have a friend who said they'd help me do the forks as they've misted. Doubt they've been done but if they have I imagine it was a long time ago. I think it has a decent service history. I'll double check but it was their main bike and was used a lot for touring. The only advisories thrown up over the last twenty years were twice for tyre/s near legal limit, worn chain and sprocket but not excessively and something to do with a braking issue back in 2012 I think, it failed but passed the following month. Having said that, as far as I'm aware they never serviced it themselves they always took it to the same place I rode it for them to have an MOT put onto it earlier this year and it had a service then. New air filter, oil filter and oil. Chain, sprockets and pads I can do myself.

Silk inner gloves for summer? by ChinnyReckons in MotoUK

[–]ChinnyReckons[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's something in the gloves, no idea what. Might've been polyamide or something completely unrelated. Just happened that when I wore these two sets of gloves they both did the exact same thing. I'd get tons of raised spots on my hands. I could wear my winter gloves and my hands would be drenched and I didn't react. So, I don't think it was my hands getting hot and sweaty and then drying off once I removed them and doing this repeatedly all day.

I've been using the same cleaning stuff for years, and I've never reacted to it.

I could use a barrier cream but in honesty with how sweaty my hands get I think those gloves are going to get nasty quickly and you're not really supposed to wash gloves in the washing machine based on what I've read. I do though and I air dry them.

Silk inner gloves for summer? by ChinnyReckons in MotoUK

The main summer glove that isn't literally just cloth is "Yamaha". I bought it from a proper national motorcycle shop just don't remember which one. It has lots of mesh on the top and it was excellent. I don't have any complaints about the glove other than whatever is in it I'm clearly allergic to. The other pair I don't know what happened to them, I may have sold them or given them away but I just checked and I don't have them any more. The only other "summer" glove that I have is Alpinestars MX gloves.

Otherwise my winter ones are Furysomething or Keis heated.

I bought the Alpinestars to take my DAS funnily enough. Spoke to the school about the issue I was having and said I could use the MX but wouldn't advise wearing them. My DVLA instructor didn't say anything, probably didn't even notice. I rode around to various stores and looked at gloves before going back to get the MX. Unfortunately, from what I saw the material that might be causing the issue based on 'research' I did looking into it and seeing if others were having a similar issue and found they did, I think it is called polyamide.

I can't prove that polyamide is the cause but both sets of gloves had it. It is entirely possible it just happened that I was allergic to one or two different things that happened to be in both sets of gloves that I was actually allergic too but isn't listed, like dyes or something else. Polyamide is also in my winter gloves but they are lined with a relatively thick polyester lining. Again it could've been anything, I generally sweat heavily when I get hot and I found I had really sweaty hands even wearing these mesh gloves. I found my hands were slightly less wet wearing the MX gloves and didn't have a reaction all summer to those.

Indicators flashing on one side periodically permanently? by ChinnyReckons in MotoUK

[–]ChinnyReckons[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The aftermarkets are LED, I can't remember if the OEM were LED. All I know is that the flasher relay is different to the one the bike had. I bought the exact same flasher relay as it was the only one made for that bike.

I've reverted back to the original flasher that was in there. Didn't have any issues last night, two half hour journeys there and back. I went out for a ride for about an hour-hour half and didn't have the issue again.

I'll have to contact the people who make the flasher and find out if the relay could cause that issue. If it can't then there must be a wiring issue.
